Cutting food with kitchen scissors

I am sure many of you may already do this but my BIL saw me use the kitchen scissors today and thought it was a good idea so I thought I would share here. My friend had to watch my boys one day a few months ago and when I came home, she was giving them chicken nuggets and she was using scissors to cut them. It was such a great idea!

Oh wow great idea. We use the pizza cutter to cut all kinds of things.

 

Saw this on the topics list passing by. I work in the kitchen at day care and I love my scissors. I have to cut a TON of stuff for 55 meals (chicken, ham, turkey, nuggets, fish sticks) and its way easier to just spear a bunch on a fork and cut with scissors. Plus no one ever steals my kitchen scissors cause they know I'll hunt them down and it won't be pretty. (I run them though the dishwasher daily)

 

Yup I have mine hanging next to the sink and cut everything for the boys with them. I have a seperate pair for other kitchen duties.

 

I know, I just discovered that myself a few months ago!! I was so excited and it has made meal time just a little bit easier to prepare at times.

 

Yes!! I've used my Pampered Chef ones for a few years now!! They are so easy to grip

 

I also use my Pampered Chef kitchen shears for EVERYTHING! I just ordered their new salad choppers and they work great on chicken, too!

 

My DH laughs at me when I break out my scissors! They are great!

 

I am a pizza cutter user too, but I never even thought about the kitchen scissors! I am going to give them a try too!

 

We are a scissor family from way back. We always cut our pizza with scissors and if I buy tomatoes in a can and want them cut up I just snip away. Scissors are truly the most handy thing ever invented.

 

Scissors have been a LIFESAVER for trying to quickly prepare food for 2 demanding toddlers!

See I am just slow, I've been using a fork and knife...silly me!

I like the "come apart" feature for washing.
