As our kids are developing new vocabulary, they say some of the funniest things. I'd love to hear what yours say.

With 2 moms, our kids call me Mommy and my partner Mama. It's not confusing to them at all. However, Jackson has recently taken to calling me mine or miney. He'll say "mine! mine!! mine-y?!" instead of mommy. It's sooo sweet and funny.

We have 2 cats - one is Anya and our new baby is Anatoli. Jacob calls her Anya-toe-wee. So cute.

Jack's blankie is called "crikey" and his paci is called "pacce" (like bocce ball, but with a "p").

Jacob gets his t's & c's mixed up sometimes, so if you tell him to "try" he will start chanting a very determined "cwy, cwy..." when he is trying to do something challenging.

I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of now.

They sound so sweet! Lulu says something in jibberish before every word. So, if she wants to ask me something she'll say in a question tone: "Mochi awa seechi ana Toast Mama" which, I guess means "hey, do you think you could make me some toast mama." Greta always answers with a very polite "yes" and "no" to everything. If I hand her a book she will shake her head and say "no no" with a little upswing on the end. She also counts her self to sleep. I listen in the monitor. She counts to ten and after about ten times through that she'll slow down between numbers and then completely stop. Sometimes she'll completely stop at "Seben" and I think she's finally asleep until a minute or two later she'll yell "Ten"....I think she's trying to keep herself awake.

Something new that Lulu says that's not so cute is "GO away mama" when she's mad at me. Even if I'm nowhere to be seen and she's mad she screams that. Nice.

yes, but mine have yet to call DH dada or daddy… and he works from home… its not like he is MIA…. So go figure… Seth is the talker… I swear I heard him say (at 7m) “NO, Whinny!” to the dog when the dog (named Winchester) was trying to lick his face… he done it a few time since… but if older DS was not there and heard it too… my family would think I was “reaching” :db: as they put it

There are so many new ones that I love!

My favorite is "I Lub Yooooooou!" to anyone and anything!

They have started saying "Ah Man!" (in the same context as Uh-oh)

We have also started the "Mine" phase (and Erin my girls say it 3 times as well...weird!)

They let me know when they are hungry by saying "EAT Mommy"

They also say "Are You??" when looking for someone or something

My least favorite is that they now bring me the remote and demand "Gabba, Gabba!", or if we are out and about they say "Gabba Home" (meaning Gabba is at home). I think I am going to have to cut back on the Gabba! When Gabba is over they procliam "Bye, bye Gabba!"

They say "here kitty, kitty, kitty" all day at the gates b/c my cats hate them and never come

I'v been hearing them talk to each other on the monitor in the morning. They say "where mama" back and forth to each other for an hour  If I were a good mama I'd go get them sense they are up, but I usually sit on the computer and laugh at them til they start whinning to get out!

They say "more" w/ the sigh for more in the sweetest voice I could never refuse them. I'v been teaching them sighs for a few basic words for a long time. The funny thing is that they never used the sign more in context until they could say "more". Whats the point now? duh!

They say "Blues Clues" and Logan yells "MAIL" and runs around when the mail time song comes on.

They say "bubble" which means bathtime or when we are in fact blowing bubbles.

Logan was doing animal noises, but has stopped for some reason!!

Last night DD came up to me and said Honnnneeeyyy and gave me the biggest hug. Guess I say that a lot to her! She loves saying her doll's names and when she sees or hears someone crying she says cryyy....cryyyyy....so sweet.

DS says plane plane like Tatu from Fantasy Island. He loves to point at me and say mommy and then poke me in the eye and say eye.

    Great topic!

Luke will say "I go", "zebra" though it's pronounced seebra for him, he calls me mamamamama, and my mom is nananna, fish is "bish"
Sophia will say clap, meows at the cats and goes "woof-woof" when she sees a dog. She also goes around the house going "Golly, golly, golly"

aww, i'm so jealous of all the cute things yours are saying!

my little guy who nurses says "nya nya" when he wants some milk (which we call "chum" and he always gets excited when he hears that word). and my other little guy repeated "doggie" one time.... that's about it. i'm still waiting for more! they do say 'mama' and 'da da' a lot, but they say it all day long to anything and everything. and tons of gibberish which only they understand!

Mine are really starting to try and talk now, its adorable!

When we swing them DS says "wee-wee, wee-wee"
Both can say clear as day bubble (when they want us to blow bubbles)
They say ball anytime they see a ball or anything round
They can both say mama, but I mostly only hear that word when they are mad or upset
DD can say toast and has also figured out the sign for it.
Chee is their word for either cheese or shoes we are never sure which one!
