Cut off for 3D ultrasound

I just wanted to inform any mothers out there that want to do a 3D ultrasound.
We just went for ours at 25 weeks and they told us that we were lucky because that was the cut off date to get it done with twins. They said usually they don't do them after 24-25 weeks. I was a little shocked because I had read somewhere that the best time to do it with twins was bw 24-27 weeks.

They informed me that the best time to have one done with twins is 20-21 weeks. That way you get the best results. Ours didn't turn out that bad, although Baby A gave up halfway and put her arm over her face lol.
Just wanted everyone to know so that they don't miss out on a great opportunity. Hope it was helpful!!

I don't know what the cut off is, but at our 25 week u/s, the u/s technician said from now on we would be seeing less and less because both are growing... I couldn't see your Facebook photos - I'm sure they are fantastic!

Thanks for posting this because I was trying to find out the other day what a good time would be to go since there are 2 in there.

 

The tech at my 30 week NST was able to snap a couple of great 3D images- I think it really depends on the skill and the positioning of the babies.

It depends on the place that you go. One that I called said they like to do it by 24-25 weeks. Another place said between 27-30. I had one at 20 weeks and one at 29 weeks. Both turned out great. My babies were estimated at 3 pounds at 27 weeks so they weren't teeny tiny. They were kind of squished but we got a bunch of great pics. (When they didn't have their hands or feet in their face)
