I will be moving the girls into twin beds within the next month or so. One of the beds has to go in front the window b/c there is NO other place to put both of them without utilizing that wall. Right now there is just a blind on that window. I don't thin kI want to keep that there b/c whoever is in that bed will probably destroy it...lol! I have to get a window lock still too.

So, I'm wondering...do I put up maybe a sheer curtain (I found ones I really like), keep the blind, put up nothing or choose some other kind of option? If I choose another option, give me some suggestions :)

how about a tie up shade that's high enough so they cannot reach it. Or a nice scarf draped over the curtain rod (also short enough on the sides that they cannot reach.)

What about leaving the blind. My boys pretty much leave the blinds alone but they are always pulling down the curtains at the top.

We've always had blinds in the girls' rooms. All four can touch the blinds from their beds. We havent had any problem with it, I did take the open/shut twisty wand thing off though and the cord pulls are VERY short.

I agree with the PP...curtains would be trouble!! I have some in my family room and L & M are forever grabing hold of them and trying to run....or twisting up in them...they have fallen off the wall a few times. :icon_eek:

Brady has had two windows with blinds by his bed since birth and has never bothered them.

our changing table is at the window. they pull on the blind cord all the time, wrap it etc. I also have room darkening curtains there, and they will want to pull those open/shut whenever possible. but I've told them NO, and they actually listen. I don't let them mess w/ the curtains b/c I'm afraid they'll bend the rod (although it's wooden) b/c they pull down more than over. so i'd go with nothing... or can you put the beds in an L shape with a bedside table/ night stand in the "dead" corner?
