I heard that moms can tell the sex of their baby before they have an ultrasound (instinct), did any of you know the sex before finding out in an u/s?

Also, has any of you had a twin hide behind the other in an u/s?

I was Convinced that I was having boys. I told EVERYONE that I was having boys. I even picked out their names. Apparently my motherly instinct was way off because I ended up with 2 GIRLS!

I knew ( had a very strong feeling) that ds was a boy.I had no idea about dd. She was a surprise. Kept her legs tightly closed until she was born.

I knew with both pregnancies. My first I knew it was a girl. This time I felt like one girl and one boy. I am not sure how that works...but it did!

I *thought* one was girl. I really didn't think we'd have b/g since that is what we all wanted, but we got lucky! DD #! really wanted a brother and sister, and she got it. :D I *knew* my oldest DD was a girl too.

None of mine have ever hid in an u/s.

I didn't know but my 4 year old son did, when I told him mommy was going to have a baby he told me I was having a boy and girl...ha ha lol oh kids are so cute....two weeks later they told me I was having twins and yup a boy and girl so if anyone wants to ask him for some lottery numbers we will only charge 10% of the winnings!

I can't say that I really "knew" I was having girls but DH and I could not come up with ANY boy names. Turns out we didn't need to.

I certainly had no idea, but DS kept saying the baby would be a little boy and DD kept saying it would be a little girl.

All DH knows is that he always guesses wrong.

I don't know what mine are yet.. but I have a strong instinct they are boys. Will find out in 2 weeks.

I have a good track record with this.. I have never been wrong with my others.. however I haven't started shopping yet because I am afraid that with twins it could be different. Now don't ask me what someone else is having because I am ALWAYS wrong.

With my first pregnancy, I swore I was having 2 boys. It took two confirmations after the initial 20 week ultrasound for me to get comfortable with the fact that it was a girl & a boy! This pregnancy I felt I was pregnant with a boy (I don't think I"ll ever think I"m pregnant with a girl) and it is indeed a boy (seen him twice).

I strongly feel I'm having a boy. And my husband and one of my sisters only refer to the baby as a boy. We'll see later on....I'm only 11wks.

I have no instinct, I thought for sure 2 girls and got 2 boys! We didn't find out what we were having so had to scramble for some names.

I didn't find out. I thought it is the one real surprise in life, why should I take that from me? But I was desperate to peek at every scan, so I told the scanning people beforehands: "look I don't want to find out, but I can't control myself, so please avoid the downunders"
I wished for a girl (I know so wrong), but because we have 2 stepboys, I sort of wanted a little girl, and I thought it would be neat to have boy girl. I guess my motherly instinct failed me for the first time before they were even here, because my gut feeling changed by the minute.
I was not sad when both were boys in the end, of course, they were the most ugly little things but they were definitely mine! And perfect the way they were.
With Ella I also chose not to find out, and I just hoped that if I really wanted it badly enough she would be a little girl. If she was a boy, we would have still been done after that baby and would have (like we are now) considered adopting a little girl later on in life.

I love that first real shopping trip after birth, when I knew the sexes and names, and I could buy all the "right" little clothes! I would have enjoyed it less if I was still pregnant, since I was always very fearful of something or other happening to the baby (probably due to my experience) and then having everything would have just made it harder.

I knew I was having twins (before the u/s at 6 weeks) and I knew that Baby B was a girl. I had no idea about the other one though!

I never dreamed I would have twins and my stepmom suggested it when I first told her and my dad that I was pregnant. I laughed it off like "yeah, right". Sure enough, twins. But I knew I was having at least one boy, if not two. And I ended up with a boy and girl! :p

A week or so after finding out it was twins (which I found out at 7w 4d) I posted on a small message board I was on (not TS) that I thought I was having identical girls. Two weeks later we found out via CVS it was two girls. It took until they were 7 months old to confirm they were identical, but they are.

I am NOT a person who has "feelings" like this often or puts a lot of weight in similar phenomena, but there are the facts.
