CT scan tomorrow!

Oy. So I am just posting real quick for some prayers for my son Anthony. Yet again he is having a test done. We passed the hurdle of Down's, spina bifida, he'll have surgery for his hypospadias, and now tomorrow is his CT scan for his large head.

I read the sheet the Dr filled out and it said primary diagnosis was macrocephaly. Now I am worried. I found a website that said they could have a degree of mental retardation and low intelligence. I will love him no matter what...I just want him to be healthy and most importantly happy. I would hate for him to be labeled.

So prayers please! His CT scan is at 9am...Hopefully the Dr. will get back to us ASAP. I will not be able to survive the weekend without knowing something! I will keep you all posted! Thank you!

The CT scan itself went really well. He's a trooper! I fed him a bottle to see if he would get sleepy(yeah right!) and then they would do the test. Well he was wide awake so the nurse was going to give him the meds when the tech said to give it a try anyways-so we did! He laid there like a big boy-he was strapped at the head to keep him from moving, and they put the x-ray thing over his body to protect him-and he just laid there as still as could be! He sucked on his pacifier and just looked around. I was so proud of him. He even started "talking" to the nurse! Too cute!

The nurse said we should hear in 3-5 days. I'm guessing that's because the report gets mailed out. I'm calling the pedi's office tomorrow afternoon to see if he's heard anything. He can call and have the report faxed to him. So-hopefully by the beginning of next week we will know!
