did you ever hear any of your babies crying in their sleep? Just a quick scream and cry (meanwhile they are still sleeping and they didn't wake up from it). Is this normal? My son did it 2x last night -- he never woke up -- he jsut cried twice. Almost like he was having a baby nightmare.

Totally normal. They transition in and out of deep sleep to light sleep all night long.

Oh yeah. Marcus does it all of the time, Maddox not so much. I just think that Marcus isn't as much of a deep sleeper as Maddox is.

My DS does it all night long...I used to go running in, but realized he was totally asleep and would quiet right back down. DD doesn't really do it, and luckily it doesn't wake her, either!

Joel used to do it all the time. Broke my heart, but he was always sound asleep.

yeah, they do it all the time. More my daughter though, but then, that may be because she is a screamer and a squealer when she's awake, and my son only growls!

My two are 10x noisier in their sleep than they are awake. Crying, grunting, sighing, all kinds of noises. It's pretty weird, but I got used to it pretty quick. I have a three cry rule, I know if there's 3 wails, that means they're awake. Two and they're probably still sleeping :)

Mine did that during the first couple months. I'd be running back and forth and just staring into the cradles driving myself nuts. So I started waiting until I knew it was a 'real' cry.

My DS goes for full blown crying some days and when I get there I see she´s fast asleep. The first time she did it it scared the living daylights out of me. Now it just scares the living daylights out of her brother! LOL! Giving her her dummy works fine as she sometimes wakes herself up - not surprising really! ;)
