I have never been on a cruise. I would love to. I would never personally want to take 3 year old twins if I went though. Do they have things for them to do? Do they have sitters that can watch them while you go and enjoy the activities? Are the room set up for young children?

I think I hade more questions than anything else. Sorry no help.

Carnival has what they call camp carnival during the day. We are going as a family for my sisters bday. At camp carnival they have games and activities and keep them most of the day for free(breaks a lunch for 2 hours as we say "nap time" and at dinner for 2 hours: 9-12 2-5? 7-10) after 10 they babysit till three for a fee. My patents are going though so I don't see the going much in the evening. We are stopping in cozamel and going to xcaret.

We went on a cruise when my girls were 2. We chose a carnival cruise due to the fact that 2 year olds could go in the camp carnival. Well, they only went one morning. Dani did not want to go to the camp.
My biggest piece of advice is to relax and have fun.

Bring a stroller/strollers for use out on the island. Disposable sippy cups came in handy for our boys when they were younger. Disposable bibs too. HAVE FUN!!

ditto the disposable anything/everything...pampers makes the toss away bibs, and the toss away sippies help too. Ours were 2 1/2 for a family reunion cruise. Wasn't as bad as I thought...
2 umbrella strollers were a must. We also did 2 pack n plays, b/c we knew they'd sleep better that way.
They did not care for camp carnival, but they had never had any parting from mommy experience yet to be fair. so they weren't quite ready. But, w/ the 2 strollers and some sweet teenaged nieces, we were able to have quiet dinners just the adults.
Everything is bolted down b/c it is a ship, so they can't do major damage.
We had a blast, and would love to go again someday...

The girls go to daycare full time so hopefully they will enjoy camp carnival. We take them everywhere( my gma says they have done more at 3 than she has her whole life and she was an army wife). The girls aren't really messy and have been out of bibs for a while. Jazz is potty trained( good thing as she has been come senstive to pullups). Jessywas doing great but has regressed a bit. We haven't used their stoller in months and it would be quite the hassle to bring. They sleep in twin beds at home so sleep shouldn't be a problem. I do thinker will have the beds cimbined to one

We have not, but please let us know how it goes. We're thinking about taking a cruise in November. My DD's will be 3 1/2 at that point.

We took my not quite year 3 yr old 2x this past year. It was fantastic and so relaxing for us! My son loved Camp Carnival. We let him go for just a bit in the mornings while we read at the pool. But then his "reward" for being good at dinner was getting to go to Camp Carnival in the evenings. It was great--giving us time to have a glass of wine, or gamble or dance or whatever.

We had a jr. suite--on one there was a curtain divider where we put his Pack and Play, and on the other cruise there wasn't so we rigged one with some string and a sheet. That helped us have some privacy and him to fall asleep.

For the excursions/ islands, we mostly hit the beach or got day passes at a hotel to use the pool. Shopping just wasn't an option.

If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to try to answer. I haven't done it with twins (mine are due while you're living it up :)) but I'll tell you what I can.
