Everyone has been sick here. DH got it first and was kind enough to share with everyone. First Clayton (3 years old) started getting a bit of a cough and blocked airways with a fever in the evenings. Then I was having an irratated throat. :bad: The worst was Saturday night when Evan got a fever and breathing 'loudly.' Poor guy. I brought him in the the ER (why doesn't this stuff happen during the day?). He was a charmer. Tested negative for RSV & his chest x-rays came back fine. (I was warned that he wouldn't like the process - being held still in one place - but he was almost smiling!) GOt the diagnonsis of Croup. So, for the last 4 nights, sleeping has been "FUN!" He wasn't nursing very well, so yesterday, in order to get liquids in him, I pumped and bulb syringed him milk. (medicine dropper) He is nursing better today. (WHEW!) The twins are feeling better. Audrey is a full time sicko when she gets sick. I am glad everyone is getting better.

Sophie had croup when she was 5 months old-it was so scary! It was the middle of the night (of course!) and she seemed to be stuggling to breath so we rushed her to the ER. It was middle of the winter and so cold outside...by the time we got there she was doing so much better-I guess the extreme temp change helps open up the air passage/throat. Could have saved $500 and just stuck her head in the freezer! Anyway, they gave her a steroid shot and sent us home-next day she was all better!
Glad to hear your family is doing much better! Sorry for the scare!
