Annelise only has two teeth, but they are seriously crooked. They form a V with the point pointing into her mouth. If their baby teeth are crooked, does that mean their permanent teeth will be crooked too?

Not necessarily and I think even when her other baby teeth come in, those teeth could straighten out more.

I don't know but I sure hope not! One of mine looks to have part of her tooth chipped and some are coming in crooked. The pedi still thinks it could be two (the chipped one) and said not to worry just yet. She also mentioned if it was chipped that doesn't mean her other tooth will come in chipped.

I really hope not since my girls look like they have fangs. I'd hate for them to grow up with fangs.

Some of M's teeth came in really crooked and I was worried too. But over the last couple of months they've started to straighten out on their own.

My DD has slightly crooked bottom teeth. I don't know, they give her a little personality. My DS has straight teeth (like his grandma!).

Tyler had/has this. It is his top front teeth. They have progressively gotten better over time and more teeth. It has no bearing about whether their permanent teeth will come in crooked or not.

Thanks for posting. My DH was just commenting today that our DD has crooked teeth hopefully they will straighten out as they get bigger as others have said.

My DS's front 2 bottom teeth are the same exact way as you describe. They have straightened out a tad but not much. My DD2 has her 2 bottom teeth now and they look a little turned in but not like DS. What is it, hope all mine don't have crooked bottom teeth. GL!

Funny K has 3 teeth and one is seriously crooked, DH says it looks like she's been chewing on a pipe, he's already worried about braces. I think they will straighten out in time, I hope.

the dentist has assured us that the position of the baby teeth does not indicate the positioning of the adult teeth. DD has a little bit of an underbite, but dentist said she probably won't when she gets her permanent teeth.

Hopefully mine have inherited the family gene (that skipped me unfortunately) for perfect teeth. Every time my sister went to the dentist as a teenager he asked "now, when did you get your braces off?"

Or my mother's gene for no wisdom teeth.

My DS has the same problem!! His bottom teeth have come in like a V! DD has 2 straight teeth....I really hope this isn`t and indication for his adult teeth!

The baby teeth should straighten out on their own and are no indication of how their permanent teeth will come in. Unfortunately my boys are doomed and will need braces. Both DH and I had them.
