crocs vs water shoes?

I am just wondering how good crocs are in the water. I was going to buy water shoes (for Sesame Place) but then they will only wear them maybe one or two more times if we go to anyother water parks. But I figure if I get them crocs (or onces like them) they will atleast get use out of them if they can wear them with regular outfits and use them other than just in the water. But if they aren't going to be good in the water then I will just have to get the water shoes. Sorry if this is confusing I have been thinking about this for a while now and just wondering what others think. Do you think I could get away with them wearing crocs in the water or should I just buy the water shoes?

I would love to know this too. I went looking at water shoes the other day for "possible" creek water walking and a water park sprinkler thing, and they were a PIA to get on their feet. I also know they wouldn't be wearing them but a handful of times. So any advice from mom's that are "in the know"?

 

I personally don't think crocs would be as safe, I have walked in wet crocs (not all day and not intentionally) and I wouldn't do it again if I had a choice.

Can you buy the water shoes big enough to last a couple years? K&K are using the ones we used last year at Sesame!

 

Crocs are not safe for walking in the water..... I learned this last yeah while camping and fell off off a dock into the water b/c of them... Very slippery!!!!!!!!

 

i am so glad you posted this - i am wondering the same thing - need something for SPlace and for weekends at the beach.

 

Well I went ahead and got some water shoes. I realized that I would need them for the lake this year too, so they didn't seem as much a waste of money (usually they were getting worn part of one day before they outgrew them).

 

Thank you for the responses I will definetly not be getting the crocs then and will get the water shoes. Hopefully we will get the use out of them.

Just wanted to let you know that Disneystore.com had water shoes on sales for $6.99 last night, and had flat $5 shipping.
