I was just on a trip and every kid I saw had Crocs on. Now, I think they are just so ugly, but then while on my trip I got bad blisters one day and bought a pair of Croc flipflops in complete desperation, and I am hooked. I want like, 1000 pair now. [IMG]

Anyway, I think Crocs look so cute on kids, but do they come off of toddlers all the time? Can kids run in them?

I know the boys would find them comfy and I'd love to have something so simple and cleanable for summer, but what's been your experience with toddlers and Crocs? And if you recommend them, where did you buy them?

Mine love crocs and they can put them on and take them off. I bought them their first pairs last summer and the crocs were always their first choice. They even wore them during the winter with socks on. They just outgrew their first pair so I just got them crocs with mickey mouse on them. Mine run and play in their crocs just fine and they don't really come off. My ds is having a little problem keeping his on right now as the toddler sizes are 6/7, 8/9, 10/11... My ds wears a size 10 so the 10/11 are a bit big on him so initially there was some stumbling and the shoes coming off but as they are molding to his feet he's walking and running fine in them.

My ds had a navy pair and that was great at hiding dirt. My dd had a pink one and the tops got scuffed from playing in them. I buy their crocs on shoebuy.com Every so often they have a coupon for $10 off and when you sign up with them you get an additional 10%. I order the crocs separately so the $10 would apply on each shoe and they have free shipping and returns.

We tried on crocs but my girls have such narrow feet that they don't fit them. They would be nice for the walk to the pool and back.

I am also a recent Croc convert. Originally I thought they looked really silly, unless they were used for work like nurses do, but now I have two pairs (fuscia and khaki or whatever that light brown color is), my two year old twins each have some Disney Crocs and my husband has a pair of black Croc thongs that I bought him. I also bought him the regular style in khaki (the ones without the holes to wear with jeans), but he still refuses to wear them, although I'll keep trying because I know how comfortable they are. My two year old twins enjoy putting them on, sometimes on the wrong foot, however. The Crocs are always downstairs in a bin with easy access anytime they need to quickly put on shoes to go outside. Unfortunately, they don't like to use the back strap, probably because it's harder for them to put on their own shoes. What I've found is that, because they fit a little looser than normal shoes, Jack and Layne end up falling a little more when they run, even with the back strap on correctly. It's not that bad, however, and I'm sure they'll start picking up their feet more when they wear them. Overall, they serve their purpose, especially when theres water around, like when it rained the night before or when we take them to swimming. We just don't put them on when we go to the park.

My boys are only 17 mos but being that I love crocs for myself, I bought them each a knock off pair at Toys R Us on sale for $6.99. We've only had them for two weeks and one of the shoe straps actually broke tonight...that's another story. Both boys love the sanals. They try to put them on themselves and if they can't, they bring them to me and will wear them around the house. Ian, who will take socks off, doesn't mess with his sandals. He wears them all day until I take them off at night. Crazy! I do notice the boys not being at stable as I'd like outside in the yard or driveway, but this is their first summer walking too. I think they are a great choice but that's jmo. I'm really considering forking out the $$ for the real crocs instead of having to keep replacing shoes all summer.
Good luck. Oh. Dicks sporting goods or similar outdoor store may have the sandals locally if you opt not to buy online.

WE LOVE OUR "CROCS" only ours are from payless and half the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They can get them on and off by themselves and wear them all the time!!!!!!!!!! Mine have worn them since they were 18 months old and never had a problem keeping them on. We do use the back strap, but they love them!!!! [IMG]

I just bought a 2nd pair for everyone as they all outgrew their last ones. The first pair of each is still in great shape and I will be re-selling them at the upcoming consignment sale. [IMG]

I love my crocs but even I, someone who has been walking for 20 years, sometimes get tripped up on them. I've flat out fallen a couple times LOL

I debated but decided to try them and our girls love them... but we too bought the knock off pair. Found them at Nordstrom Rack for like $6.00 so decided to gamble. They like they and request to wear them. The only downside is they can easily take them off in the car but I knew that was to come sooner or later. So check out MOA and Nordstrom Rack if undecided if you want to invest the big bucks for them.

I've been looking for Crocs for my boys. I was unsure about them but thought they would be great for summer for playing out in the yard and I thought the boys would like putting them on themselves. I've been looking for them in several stores in my area and they are constantly sold out of the toddler sizes. I am also having a difficult time with the sizing...they seem to be in between the 8/9 and 10/11 size.

My boys LOVE their Crocs. Although they can take them off they rarely do because they like them so much. Even if they take them off they are super easy to put back on so I don't mind. One of my boys has fat little feet and one has narrow to average feet and they both are fine in them. I personally don't have a pair because my teenage DD has forbid me to wear them [IMG]

There is a new style called Crocs Crocling that look like they will stay on their feet better. Not much of a color selection, but cute.

We got a knock off at WalMart last Spring for the girls (age 3), and while they are cute and the kids could take them on and off very easily, they gave the girls blisters on their feet. We could only wear them with socks and only on occasions when they wouldn't be walking a lot.

We just got the Sketchers version and my girls love them. They stay on better than the original crocs because they have a velcro strap around thew ankle. They seem to walk and run just fine in them.

I don't think the ones at Target or Wal*Mart come close to being comfortable. I bought my first pair at Target, wore them and thought I just don't get the big deal. They were hard plastic that did nothing for me. I then bought a pair of Airwalks at Payless and it was like night and day, I absolutely adore them! I now have a pair of Disney Crocs (got a fantastic deal!) and so far I like my Payless ones better. Anyway, my point is the blisters might have come because of the knock off not because of the shoe (actual croc). There are absolutely different quality knock offs! Also, not sure how you are sizing but the shoe shouldn't touch anywhere around the foot. They are meant to be worn differently than your average shoe. Where were the blisters forming?
