I don't no if this has been asked so im sorry if it has but i was wondering can the twins sleep in the same crib and if they can for how long? we have a two bedroom and my son (18months) is still in the room with us. I was also wondering would it be a good idea to start the twins out in their own room?

My girls stayed in our room for the first 4 months or so that they were home. During that time they also shared a crib. Once they became more mobile (able to roll over and such) we moved them into their own cribs in their own room. There is no way that my girls could have shared a crib for an extended period of time or none of us would have ever gotten any sleep! There are a couple people on TS that have had success with extended crib sharing though, we just weren't one of them. Good Luck!

We got minicribs to save space. I'm so glad we did - we love them! We planned to have them share in the first few months, but that wasn't possible with as much as William wiggles. They have their own room and instead of having them sleep with us in the beginning, I slept in their room so we wouldn't have to "transition" them out. Um, I'm having difficulty transitioning myself out of their room, though. My dh snores and I sleep much better with the babies.

Mine shared a cot for the first 5-6 weeks of their lives then we had to separate them as DS was such a restless sleeper. He also moved a lot and we were afraid he´d get in DD´s way! Ours now sleep in their own cots but in their own room (we moved them out of our room at 5 months) for the nights (it´s very cute hearing them chattering to each other before they go to sleep!) but separately during the day as they have different napping needs. I would say to spearate them once they are more mobile. GL!

Mine co-slept up until they were 5 months and then we moved one into the nursery and one stayed in our room for a bit longer.

Mine shared a crib for 6 months and then they went into their own rooms. They both were getting too big to share a crib.

Breathe Right Strips! When I first got pg and was up all the time to go the BR, I couldn't go back to sleep because of DH's snoring. I bought him the throat strips and the nasal strips. I asked him to please try them because I was exhausted. The nasal strips make him feel better and more rested so he's been using them ever since. And I sleep much better!

Our girls shared a crib until they were 2.5 months old (adjusted age). We really only separated them because they move so much in their sleep that one would end up kicking the other one in the head. They sleep in the same room now in different cribs and it works great! I don't see any reason to separate them in different cribs unless it is interfering with sleep. We kept one daughter in our room for about 3 nights when she first got home from the NICU and all of her grunting kept us up so we put in her the nursery in her crib from the beginning.

My twins shared a crib until they were 6 months old. At almost 3 they are still sharing a room and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon.
