I am somewhat stressing about fitting 2 cribs in our babies nursery due to the small size. Can anyone recommend or does anyone have smaller size cribs? Ive seen Mini-cribs but heard that babies outgrow them pretty fast

We do have the DaVinci Mini-cribs & I LOVE them.
I wanted to have enough room for 2 of them, 1 (or 2) dressers and a changing table in their room, and also leave room to play - so they worked great for us :good:
My girls are 15 months old now & still have PLENTY of room. I plan on making them into the twin beds (and getting guards for the sides) later on.

HERE is how ours look, they fit nicely along one wall :)

My BIL is a carpenter and we had him make us one crib that fits a twin size matress, that way they had plenty of room to sleep together and it was smaller than two cribs. It's also lower than most cribs and when they started night potty training we left the side down so they could climb out to go potty. Then later we took the sides off entirely and now it's just a twin bed, slightly lower to the ground like a toddle bed would be.

We have the mini cribs and they have been great, BUT the boys are in the 75th and 50th percentile for height and we will need to make them into twin beds before they are 2...probably in the next two months even. We also couldn't put both together in the crib after 3 months. I'm a little nervous about switching to beds so early, but I think they will be fine. Do you plan on moving in the next 3 years? If so, you may be better off with two cribs since they will be able to stay in them until they are 3 or so. I think a crib would take up less room than a twin size bed. It's a tough call. Here's a pic of the boys room (it's big now, but we never know where we'll be moving to next w/ the military so we needed cribs that could convert into twin size beds).

    dresser side

Since these pics were taken, I've put the cribs on opposite sides of the room so they can see each other, but not steal each others blankets.

I think IKEA makes cribs that are a little smaller than normal...

We got our cribs at Ikea (Gulliver cribs) and really like them. They look cool/modern, they were way cheaper than ones elsewhere (around 100 each) and they do have a much smaller footprint than some other cribs, though they take full size mattresses

I live in a two bedroom apt., and we have the Da Vinci mini cribs. My guys are 9 months old, and they still have plenty of room.

I was going to say IKEA as well. I purchased two regular cribs that change into toddler beds but now I wish I had the IKEA ones instead. They have already chewed the heck out of these ones !!
