Crib Tent Netting, ordering replacement netting ?

I believe I've read on here that some of you have ordered replacement netting for your crib tents.

I'm just curious how strict on the 60 limited warranty they are, if you had to pay the replacement fee or not, as long as you mailed in the ripped netting.

When I went to get the girls up from their nap today I noticed Ellie had a fist (toddler) sized hole in the side of her netting. I make a mental note :)rolleyes:) and we flew out the door to my allergy shot appt. We were late getting home and I completely spaced that there was a hole until I was out to dinner with my girlfriend.

So, it probably would have been pretty funny to be a fly on the wall and watch as I sewed the hole in the tent with thread, an embroidery needle (couldn't find my regular sewing needles!) and DH holding the flashlight to try and have as little light as possible in the hopes of not waking the girls. We were actually almost successful! Ellie woke a little said "Hi Mommy, kiss?" and then rolled over.

We proceeded to walk out, I got cocky and turned to DH and said "Damn are we good" and then the wailing commenced! :p Should have known better than to open my mouth! But got her settled, and then Searra settled and we're good to go!

I went to the Tots In Mind website and clicked on the Warranty Replacement tab, I'm about a week past the 60 days, typical, right?

So, short question long, did they charge you?

There was no 60 days limitation when I ordered ours. Heck, our tents were over a year old and I was honest about the purchase date! I had to give a CC# and agree to be charged if I didn't mail back the trashed tent and that was it.

ETA: I just went to their site and don't see anything about 60 days. Are you talking about the product warranty printed on the package or did you see something on the site about a limitation?

That's what I thought I remembered Debi! There was something printed on the package insert/directions and I thought I saw it on the website as well. But it was pretty vague so we'll see. It did ask for a CC# and said if they didn't receive the broken tent back they'd charge you.

Ah, HERE it is. It does say that the time limit doesn't apply in some states?? I don't think my sewing job will hold up that long anyway, so regardless, I've got to do something!

ETA: I did order it already, I was just wondering :D

Edited again to add I just got an email stating to make sure I returned the damaged netting to avoid a chargeback for the replacement netting. So looks like I should be good :D !!

I just wanted to add that I replaced my netting for both of our crib tents three times in the span of 15 months. Tots In Mind has been really great to work with! The first time, they even called me to make sure I hadn't made a mistake when I asked for 2.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this. I had NO idea I could get replacement netting on our crib tent. Mine is definitely less than 6mo and my son has created a small hole in it that we've been joking he's plotting his escape by tunneling out
