I am just curious as to how many cribs you are setting up for the babies to use?? We have 2 cribs and set them both up and then decided that we were going to only use one for the first little while. Is this a bad idea??

I don't think that is a bad idea at all. My girls shared a crib for the first few months, until they were rolling over and onto each other therefore disturbing the other one's sleep.

Same here! My two shared until they were 6 months old.

1 for now, we haven't even bought a second one yet. The babies are going to be in my room for the first few months while they eat during the night, so I'm in no rush to get a second one.

Babiesrus and onestepahead both sell a crib divider that we will buy if they start rolling onto each other too soon! But I use sleep positioners for the first several months so I shouldn't have to worry about that too much.

We plan to use one crib for the both of them for a while. When they get to where they are rollong over on eachother or kicking at one another, we will probably use a crib divider before moving them to thier own cribs. We want them to be able to sleep together for a while if possible.

we had three :) my moms friend gave us a crib when we found out we were pregnant than when we found out it was twins we got matching cribs and changing table from another twin mom. so we had two in the nursery and one in our bed room for the first 4 months.

We had both cribs set up before they were born & they shared 1 crib until around 8 weeks or so.
The first 4 weeks they slept in the bassinet portion of our pack n plays (we had 1 in our room & 1 in our family room)

I have two cribs from my older kids, but I think I am only going to start out with one crib set up and then add the second when we need it. I'm also getting an arms reach cosleeper to use in our bedroom.

I was planning on using one for a while b/c I read it helps them sleep - they will sooth each other.

I have one for now. I like the idea of them sleeping together, and will use one as long as possible.

From what I've read, that's quite common with twins. It's what we're planning to do.

Mine slept together until around 4/5 months. At that point, one started kicking the side of the crib and would wake the other one. (Even swaddled she did this!)

Now they share a room but not cribs.

If you have two, you will want to set them up at least because that second one great is a great place to store laundry ;)
