We only have room for one crib and I was wondering if anyone is planning on using a crib divider or has experience with one.

    Thanks!

I have one and it is still in the package. I never used it. IMO, they are not really all that practical. By the time the kids are old enough to move around, thus disturbing their twin, they are too big for a half section of the crib. Mine shared a crib until four months. Then they started to bother each other and NO ONE was getting sleep. We placed the crib divider in there to see how much space was left. Not enough. So we moved them into their own cribs.

I realize that you may only have room for one crib (believe me, I understand the whole lack of space issue), but I know VERY few people who were able to keep their kids in one crib for an extended period of time. You may want to have a Plan B in the wings (i.e., two pack n plays, two mini cribs, etc.).

We used a foam crib divider for at least a couple of months. My girls were small and ended up sharing a crib until they were around 9 months old. We didn't need it at first because they stayed at their respective ends of the crib. But once they started moving around and one started rolling over, it was nice to have some way to keep Ali on her side of the crib. It gave us an extra couple of months until we could find a second crib we could afford.

MIne were too tall at about 3 months to sleep in only one half of the crib. You may want to consider a pack n' play for one of them. :)

We used a crib divider and really liked it! :)
We didn't add it until the swaddling days were over...

Once they could vault over it, DH constructed a rail-height one from a piece of plywood padded and attached to the crib rails. It was the first thing
    they "pulled up" on!

We kept ours in the same crib 'til 10 months, and then relented and bought the second crib.

To answer your question in a very roundabout way...we did use one, we did like it. :)
