Have any of you used one of those crib dividers? Here is a link to it:

I just don't know if it's worth the money, will they grow to long for sleeping sideways to fast? We have another crib that a friend gave us, we just need to get a matress for it, so we could do that. The other crib would make it cramped in there, it's not a very big room.

    Thanks!

My babies shared a crib for the first 6 months, and I didn't have any type of divider in there at all.

My guys happily shared until they were 12 weeks (by happily I mean they didn't even know the other was there). We didn't need any kind of divider. At 12 weeks they were kind of sleeping diagonally because they're so long and they started to wiggle a bit and knock into each other. So it felt like time to separate them. They sleep well in their own cribs in their own room. Personally I wouldn't bother with a divider. There is so much to buy with two new babies coming - I think I'd spend my money on something else (like a bouncy chair or swing).

My girls are still sharing a crib and they are just over 7 months. For me it seems like a waste of money. The first few months they didn't move around too much, so therefore didn't bother one another. Now they snuggle up together (which is WAY cute BTW ) and "fight" some, but they sleep so well together. I could never imagine putting something in their bed to separate them. I'm not looking forward to when they don't share a bed anymore. ;)

My babies shared a crib (though they had their own) for the first 5 months.
They were swaddled and I found them just as I left them, no divider need for us.

I have one and have never used it. They enjoy seeing each other and I havent had any issues with one waking the other up.

Had one, hardly used it. I gave to another twin mommy. She used it for 5 months and it worked for her.

ours shared a crib till about 4 months and we only seperated them then because DS liked to lift both of his legs up high while laying on his back and then slam his legs down! That was waking Poor DD and us for that matter (the first time he did it i was home alone, DH was working third shift and i swear i thougt it was the sound of foot steps coming down my hall way:() Scared the you know what out of me.
I dont think i would bother with a divider.

And that's exactly why I had to separate mine too! My other little girl came close to getting some shiners from her sister ;)

If your friend is giving you a crib, I think it's well worth it to spend the money on the mattress rather than the divider. The mattress you'll have for a long time. The divider, just afew months.

mine have shared a bed,, or the PnP since birth (3 months now) and i am going to put them in their cribs soon. I say it is a waste of money - buy the crib mattress instead. ;)

Thanks everyone, the reason I asked is because DD is already wiggling herself over to DS while still swaddled and stays swaddled. I don't know how she does it but I found her with her feet on top of him one time and she was still wrapped up! So I'm kind of worried about her getting on his face.

So I guess I won't worry about the divider, but I wish they could share a crib longer.

We do have one in the crib, but honestly, at 4 months, they are already getting a bit too big for it. It's really wide, taking up a lot of space and defeating the purpose. They still sleep in their bassinettes at night and they are growing out of those as well. We have some space issues, but it looks like they will need their own cribs soon, so I suppose the divider isn't really necessary.

We have one and it stayed to the far left side of the cribe the first 2.5 months. I didn't want to separate the girls. At this point they started kicking a little and waking each other at night. We then put the divider in the middle of the crib and it worked for awhile. Our girls our grew it very quickly. We started lying the girls diagnoly so they would have more room. Around 4 months when one twin started rolling over it became a big problem. NO ROOM! We then took out the divider, but the rolling over was the problem then. So............we gave in and bought a second crib. The girls slept great the first night and have ever since then. I think it is a wast of money and space in your crib.
