okay, so those of you that got crib sheet sets with the comforter and all the frills (my mom got ours as a gift), WTH do we do with the comforter? i mean, we can't use them now... can we use them when they're older? do you think they're big enough to fit toddler beds? we have convertible cribs that turn into toddler day beds... they should fit that, right? it's such a waste to have it just folded up and never be used.

i really need some sleep

We actually use them on the floor. The boys play on them. They're soft and colorful - I'm not sure if they'll actually use them for their intended purpose when they get older or not.

I had used them under their matress to make it incline. Now I either use them on the floor or they sit in the closet and wait to maybe someday have a purpose.
I did use them when they were newborns but only for about a month. I'll probably use them this fall.

I actually used them in the cribs... I'm assuming you don't use them because of SIDS? I did hear about that but I did use it with my older son and he was fine... I also put it long ways so I can tuck in the sides so they can't grab it and put it over their face. But I'm also a mommy that lets them have a blanket in bed too...

Why was this moved to another Forum? When it's moved does it show the responses we gave when it was posted in this forum?
I really don't want to get bagged on just because I use the comforters...

I have mine hung over the end of the crib and tucked into the mattress on the inside. Just so you can see it, it looks nice. I will probably have to take them down soon when they start pulling them down. I LOVE the idea of them on the floor, in front of each crib like a little rug maybe?

We have not used ours so far and don't anticipate them working too well when they move to their toddler beds. I am actually mad that I fell for this idea and bought the matching crib sets. I didn't spend a lot of money on them, but that money could have gone to something else. I am actually probably going to try and sell my sets at a mom to mom sale this fall.

We have one serving no purpose, folding up in the closet. The other is hung on a quilt rod on their wall. I think it looks cute there. I'm not sure if we'll use them when we convert to toddler beds or not...mine aren't very soft & squishy....

ETA: I use blankets as well, just not these crunchy, uncomfortable comforters.

When my girls were infants, I usually draped it over the back of the rocking chair where it looked pretty and I could pull it over myself on chilly nights when I was sitting up with a non-sleeping baby. When my girls got older, I did use them in the crib, on the floor, etc. where ever they were useful. The crib bedding does indeed fit a toddler bed and vice versa.

I think on the floor to play with a great idea! I also think hanging one on a wall as decoration is too.

We don't have any for the girls, but when DS was a baby we used his as a wall decoration. We hung it in his room and it looked great!

I have mine folded nicely hanging over the front of the crib rail, you could also hang it on a quilt rack on the wall above the crib.

I have always had mine in the crib. It's tucked in all around so the boys have never moved it and could never get it over their faces, etc...they just lay on top of it like it's part of the bed...I have never used it to cover them up.

It was always folded nice over the crib rail...now, they are in toddler daybeds and they really aren't that big. They rather huge fluffy blankets, so they sit all folded up.

I did with this mine too for the first 6-7 months. Now, they're folded up under their beds!
