So my twins are past the whole spoon thing, they would much rather pick up the food and feed it to themselves. SOOO...I was thinking(dangerous, I know!), about how to get rid of the last of this jarred food.

So here are a couple of things I came up with that they loved!

I took part of a jar of Chicken Vegetable Dinner, and spread it on a piece of wheat toast like peanut butter, cut it up into little pieces, and they devoured it!

I also mixed a jar of some kind of veggies into some regular rice, and fed it to them, off of a spoon, but they loved it!

I put some sweet potato/apple mixture onto their morning waffles, and they loved that as well.

I thought I would share for all of those that are just about out of the jar stage, but still have some left....have anymore ideas?

Mine aren't to that stage yet, but thanks for the tips! These are great ideas.

Mine are just about at the stage but they still will eat cereal and yogurt from a spoon (they are sweet, that'd why). I am glad to be able to finally get some ideas about what to do with the leftover jars. I have tons of them.

I know I used to have a recipe somewhere for muffins that had baby food carrots in them. I'm sure you could mix anything similar into a muffin (sweet potatoes, maybe squash, fruit for sure). I think you could add it to any muffin batter to replace a bit of the liquid. :D

For those with older children who won't eat their vegetables: Mix a jar of vegetables in your meatloaf when your making it. They won't even know it's there.

I've heard to add the veggies to tomato sauce (for spaghetti) as a way to get veggies in.
