Crazy week!

Last week I was getting excited to be hitting 32 weeks- and all of a sudden on Tuesday I get the dreaded blurred vision and headache. Called docs office, and was told to come in and get checked out- so we get there- blood pressure good, no problems. They decide to monitor for contractions and babies- well a few contractions showed and I got checked and was 2 cm!!! I had no clue. So I get admitted- put on Mag- no fun! Wednesday came and went and things were looking up, they checked me and thought I was back to 1 cm- doc was planning on sending me home thursday. Well, thursday morning, after an uneventful night I get checked and am at 5 cm! So I got my first ambulance ride to a different hospital- and told to expect the girls within 2 days- so here I almost a week later and the girls are still baking! I am stuck in the hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy but other wise doing well. Contractions continue off and on, but I am off the Magnesium and on Procardia. I am pretty much on strict bedrest- can get up for a shower every other day, and go to the bathroom. Doc says anyday now... just because of being so far dilated. Last ultrasound the girls were measuring 4 lbs 5 ozs and 4 lbs 11 ozs- and have been doing wonderful with their monitoring- other than moving away from the monitors all the time So while I am incredibly board- I know this is best for the babies- my hubby was nice enough to get me a laptop so I could get back into the computer world. I hope everyone else is doing good!

 

Amy-wow a lot has changed. I know hospital bedrest isn't fun, but you are right, this is the best thing for your babies. Hang in there. That was nice of DH to get you a laptop.

oh wow thats a big change! hang in there few more weeks to have them not premature and so far those area great wieghts!

 

Wow! You've had a lot going on! I'm sorry that you are on hospital bedrest. But sounds like those little ones know they need to stay in there a bit longer! Take care of you and your little girls. :hug99:

I bet you will be glad to have a laptop with hospital bed rest. I hope all goes well for you and the babies.

 

Bed rest must be hard, but as you said it is best for the babies. You hubby was very sweet to get you a laptop I hope the time goes by quickly for you.
