Has anyone else suffered from the crazy craving after giving birth?

I am feeling like a hound dog trying to eat everything in sight.

IF you have how can I get it under control.

    Thanks

My body was burning so many calories after I had the boys that I wanted to eat everything. After I ate my dinner, if I was still hungry, I had a protein shake. It really helped. I also made sure to drink all the water I could and stayed away from sugary stuff.

I have only had "regression" cravings- when I was pregnant I would crave and eat egg salad sandwiches and cream cheese with a bagel or monterey jack and cucumber sandwiches with mayo. I still crave the egg salad and cucumber sandwiches- and I just make them and have it because it is not too unhealthy. If I attempt to ignore it I tend to end up eating more of something I don't really want- so I just give in. But I never craved anything too bad..

I had that for about a month! I felt like i was eating all day, I allowed it and was still loosing weight, I just attributed to the big hormonal shift, sleep deprivation and working harder than I ever had. I did have to get things under control about 4wks after birth...that's when it was becoming a habit, and my body didn't need it anymore!

Enjoy it for a bit...it doesn't last long! (at least the part where your body will take care of the xtra calories for you!)

I craved chocolate like no other! I didn't really like it until after I was pregnant. I still got back to my pp weight after 2 months, but never lost the craving for chocolate! Sorry no advice on how to make it stop, but it's totally normal!

I did too. I was eating junk food all day long. I think it was emotional eating. No sleep at night, fast finger foods off the counter that were quick, etc. It did finally curb itself.

I'm another one who just craves chocolate after giving birth, and pop. I will be up at the 3 am feeding and craving a pop soooooo badly LOL. I just give in within reason (caffeine free though heehee), guess I'll have to worry about it later. ;) Sorry no advice but it seems like it's totally normal!
