Well my darlings decided that the heaters were perfect places to hide crayons. My dh turned them on this morning and now we have melted crayon all down the heaters and into the carpet. I was torn between crying and laughing, so I chose laughing :)

Anyone have any ideas about how to get it out? Help!

Yeah - my dh said that he was walking around the place trying to figure out what the smell was when he saw a rainbow of wax dripping down the heater. Seriously, there was at least 10 crayons in there scattered all down the heater!! Crazy kids :)

My dh once left a construction-grade crayon in his pocket & I unknowingly ran it through the dryer. What a mess!!! And it was much harder than your average Crayola. I spent a long time with a scrubber & Simple Green (concentrate), but it eventually came out. Be careful, though - that stuff will make you choke! I don't recommend doing it around the kids & turn on a fan.

I have never tried this myself but to get crayon out of the carpet try putting a paper bag over it and using a hot iron over the bag.
I did it once to help get melted candle wax up and it got most of it out.
    Good luck
