Cramps...

I am 25 weeks 5 days with mono-di boys, since friday night I have been have period-like or bowel movement like cramps. I have also had frequent bowel movements but they are a joke because it is very small amounts just very often through out the day. The cramps are just in the lower front portion of uterus/pelvis and come and go. They last about 10-30 seconds and are mild or slightly more painful than mild. The cramping is irregular, it can be 5min, 15miin, 30mins apart and they will sometimes go away for an hour or two. I think I have had a backache as well but I've been so focused on the cramping I am not sure. I called my Ob and I am going today 1:30. I guess my point is I did the right thing by calling and going in even though they are so irregular, right? and what are your opinions on my symptoms, does it sound like something might be happening or am I just worring about nothing? :search:

 

No clue as to what could be happening but you certainly did the right thing calling the doctor. Hope all is ok.

 

Umm, yeah you did the right thing. There is no need to risk it. Cramping even though irregular can be sign that something is going on. I hope everything turns out okay for you. :hug:

Just something to ease your mind in the meantime while you wait... I was having very similar problems last week (for about 3-4 days) and it was just a mild stomach bug. I knew this at the time because my son had it before me and now my husband has it. It is so mild though that you don't feel bad constantly... only off and on during the day. Yours could be something different and it is great that you are seeing your doctor to confirm but if he/she tells you all is well with you and the babies then maybe you caught this lovely bug too!

 

Mitmit, did you go to the doctor? What did they say? I just got back from my doctor for the exact same issues, period-like cramps with bowel movements. I've had it off and on since Saturday. She checked my cervix and it's fine. She thinks it's a GI issue and not pregnancy related. But if it doesn't go away in a few days or gets worse, I have to go to the hospital to be monitored.

But mine was exactly the same. Period-like cramps consistently for 30-40 minutes here and there. The doctor told me that if the cramps come and go 4-5 times an hour, that's contractions.
