I am 11 1/2 weeks pregnant with my twins right now and have been having some pretty intense cramping the last few days. My OB told me that cramping was normal but my question is, how do I know when it crosses the line from normal to something to get checked out? I am trying desperately not to stress out of the cramping but every time I get up and walk around ( I have 2 other children) I start the cramping..

Any advice or stories to ease my mind or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

Yeah, I think I would call too. If it's nothing then so what?...at least you KNOW.

*hugs* I hope the cramps go away soon, and all is well! take care!

Great advice. I had some severe cramping at 14 weeks and I went to the emergency room after it didn't go away after 4-6 hours. Thankfully everything was fine. They surmised it was probably due to my ligaments stretching. So best to put your mind at ease and get it checked out. Hope all is well and take care!

I called last week after some cramps that were much more intense than usual. Turned out to be nothing. I just get crampy. My doc makes me sit and drink water and elevate my feet.

I am happy I called instead of freaking out. It did end me up in L&D for a few hours, but my babies are safe and thats al that matters!

Peace of mind is worth going to L&D- if you are worrying or trying not to worry, get checked out.
