cramping

I know its normal to cramp after a vaginal exam, or so i am told...

Ive had several where i didnt cramp but the past two i have cramped afterwards. Is it normal to cramp like ALL day though??? My appointment was at 9am and all she did was check my dilation. No other tests or anyting and I am still at 10pm cramping


ohh and im 32 weeks and 75%effaced and 1cm dilated

 

It is pretty normal. But if you want to put your mind at ease call your OB tomorrow, just to be on the safe side.

 

If you feel odd, have rested, drank lots of water, timed the cramps...always know you can call the doc anytime if you feel off. :hug: I hope it stops for you!

 

It just concerns me a little bc this is my first pregnancy so i know what the typical BH feels like. A few of my friends said their labor was never the painful contractions it was more cramps and back pain, so i just worry! Im going to try to make it thru the night and call tomorrow if they are still there.

The reassuring thing is that even tho they have been on and off for 12 hrs...they havnt gotten more intense

thanks I do feel a little better today. I have had a little cramping and stuff but not like it was yesterday. My dr called me today and asked if it was better, he said he thinks i have such severe cramping after vaginal exams now, because it just kinda shakes everything up and the babies are close to 5lbs and I am so tiny, and with the one actually engaged in the birth canal the pressure just causes cramps.
