    Hi everyone
I made it to 37weeks and have been experiencing contractions that don't really hurt for a month now. Only a few days ago I started getting bad cramping with each contraction. They can be often, but mostly just irregular so far. They hurt so much it's hard to believe that it's not the beginning of labor. I have trouble sleeping at night they wake me up. I don't know if I can take this much longer. I am already so uncomfortable. My Ob may induce next week. Does anyone have experience with this? Does this mean that I may be finally effacing? What can I do to help with the pain?

Well I have never labored (only c-sections) so I really dont know. BUt at that point in the game I would suggest calling your doctor or going to L&D anytime something new comes up. Good luck

like pp, I never labored but it sounds like you may not need to be induced. You should call your doc or go into L&D. Good luck!

go to the hospital, don't wait. It really sounds like you are laboring, I had this happen last night and since it is waaay to early for me, I had to be given meds to stop them, but you are right on time!! Let us know how it goes :)

I would call your OB and let them know. Also make sure you are keeping track of time to see if you can find any pattern to them. Hang in there...your are soooo close. :)

Well, I called my ob and she said to call again and come in when I am having 3 contractions every 10 minutes. That hasn't happened but since about 8 this morning I've thrown up at least 10 times. I called again and asked about the puking and she said if I throw up 3 times in an hour I should come in (what is it with all the 3's?). In the meantime I should sip on some Gatorade or Ginger Ale. Assuming that this is some form of early labor, has anyone else ever experienced all this throwing up? The doc didn't think I would become dehydrated as long as I didn't meet the 3 times in an hour puking standard, but this sure does stink!

omg goodness! sounds like early labour; i would go into the hospital its different with twins u dont want to chance it-im surprised at your OB too; all that throwing up your going to get dehydrated-I was induced with my yds; i was contracting but not enough like u; as soon as i got the pitocin they came on strong and fast-you will know the difference; Your 37 wks its time; they cant send u home if u go to the hospital;) if anything it might help bring on a pattern of contractions--GL!!!

Call your OB and let them know that you think that you may be in labor. Most likely they will ask you to go to L&D... Looks like you may be able to avoid induction!!! Good Luck!

I would go in and get checked out at L&D if it were me. The worst they can do is send you home and at least you would know what's going on in there! When it was really time with my sons, I had the cramping with contractions. It took me awhile to catch on that it was labor, I just thought I was going to have an upset stomach!
