    Hi Ladies -

I'm 22 wks pregnant tomorrow and about 30 minutes ago, I started to get this period-like cramp in my lower abdomen (right above my hair line). Is this normal or should I be concerned? I took a shower hoping it would go away, but it hasn't. I know Baby A's head is in that area but not sure if he would be causing me this pain.

    Anybody else have this?

Is there any possbility you could be dehydrated? Are you at home, can you lay down? If so then I would lay down after drinking a big glass of water. If it does not subside (and if you have any bleeding) call your doc. It could just be the babies stretching and growing but you need to know for your own peace of mind!

I hope you are feeling better soon!

If it is right where your leg and your body meet, it could be round ligament pain. I had that a lot with the twins, I even called my Doctor because I was concerned. It is normal. If it is period like cramping, I had that throughout my entire pregnancy with Joy. I keep thinking I was going to miscarry. The Doc would tell me to drink a lot of water and put my feet up. After a while it would go away, just to come back a few hours later. She sat really low too.. If it really concerns you, call and get checked. If won't hurt and you would feel a lot better. Go with your gut....

I don't think it's round ligament pain, because I do get that alot when I make sudden movements or sneeze.

I'm now sitting in bed and drinking a big glass of water and I still have the cramp, but now I feel like Baby A is almost stomping on my cervix - last I knew, he was head down, so I don't think it could be kicks. It's startling because they're strong but I can't feel them from the outside - only the inside.

    Is this normal?

When in doubt, call your doctor. They can check on you and give you piece of mind. It is probably nothing, but wouldn't you feel better if you knew for sure?! So call, that is what they are there for.
