Cramping and Pain with a little TMI

Hey Everyone,

So I had my last appointment on Tuesday (11/6) and they checked my cervix to see how far along I was and as the doctor put it "what he has to deal with down there ... " for my induction on friday. (Both boys are head down)

So my question is: Ever since my appointment yesterday morning I have been cramping and my thighs near the top are so sore. I'm ok when I'm sitting back or laying on my side only. But if I stand up or sit up I started to get lower cramping to the point it brings tears to my eyes. I can't even walk, if I try to go the bathroom, I buckle and have to rest and literally shuffle to the bathroom or use my DH arm to make it there.

TMI part: The cramps also feel like I have to poo and when I do my whole bottom area and cervix cramps up and I once again double in pain. (I've never been regular but ever since yesterday I've been pooing like every 2 hours!!!)


Does this mean I'm contracting? Also do you guys think I can hold out till Friday when I get induced?

 

I would call your OB or just go straight into L&D. Good luck!

Feeling like you have to have a BM isn't always a good sign. Are you going every time, or just have that feeling, that is what it feels like when there is pressure and you are in labor. I would probably call your OB.

I'm kind of in the middle, sometimes I have BM but the other 1/2 nothing and I just cramp.... this all so scary now.

That pressure feeling just makes me nervous. Did you call your OB?

having to go poo is exactly how i described early labor to my girlfriends who asked what labor felt like.... i too would call my ob

 

I would get checked out!!

 

I agree with pp's... this is the feeling I had when I was in labor with my dd-
I would call or go to labor and delivery-maybe when your doctor checked your cervix it got things started.

Could be in labor. I was always told if you feel like you are going to use the bathroom (BM) then you are most likely in labor.

 

Please update us when you can.

 

oh boy def sounds like early labour! better get check to make sure GL!

 

I had the same sensation in early labor with my ds. The way I started to suspect labor was that I went #2 and then still felt the cramping. This was in the middle of the night and then by morning, I had the bloody show and started experiencing back to front contractions when I got in the bathtub. It's so hard because every labor is different. I'm sure you figured it out by now, since it's almost Friday. Trust all will go well!
