Please help.. How do you get it to go away when they have tons of hair? With DD1 I slowly got it to go away, but with these 2 you can barely see the cradle cap, but now its getting flakey.. Its gross...

How do you get it to go away??

I used Head and Shoulders shampoo, per ped's suggestion, and it went away!

I used baby oil per the pedi's recommendation and it was a nightmare because my girls have a lot of hair. After washing poor Meara's hair like 6 times there was still oil in it (and I didn't use a lot). Then I bought the cradle cap stuff you can buy at the store (its a green bottle and I think it has winnie the pooh on the front for whatever reason). Its not greasy and much easy to wash out. I'd put it on their head at the beginning of the bath, wash them all over while it was doing its thing, then use a comb to comb out the flakes, and then shampoo twice.

We have no hair but we use gentle naturals cradle cap care. My friend uses it on her son as well and he has tons and tons of hair. It works wonderfully!

Our ped suggested selsun blue shampoo. We used it and it was gone after two uses. We used it for two days. After that we used it once a week for another week or two, just for good measure. It's all gone now.

Our ped recommended using anti-dandruff shampoo and gently exfoliating with a washcloth. It worked after about a week. If it is really bad he suggested putting the olive oil on about half an hour before baths to soften it up.
