Does anyone with a gravel driveway have a Cozy Coupe? Does it work o.k.? We live on a farm with a gravel driveway and I think it might not work too well. Just thought I'd check and see if anyone had any first hand knowledge about this.

I can't say for sure, but I do think it might be tough. Our boys used them indoors for awhile, though, and that worked (don't know if you have the space or interest in doing that).

Yeah, I agree with Erin. It might be hard for them to get the Cozy Coupe moving on gravel. I know it is hard to move on grass. Our oldest DS loved his, but he was only able to get it moving on blacktop or concrete surfaces.

But if you have a basement or the space indoors, it would work great! :)

We're having problems with Big Wheels on our gravel/dirt driveway, and I would think the Cozy Coupe would be the same, sadly.

I agree with the pp's that the Cozy coupe would be hard to get going on the gravel. We had our Cozy coupes inside for a while and they were a huge hit, so if you have the space it might be worth it!

My girls like to ride in theirs on our concrete patio because its hard to move on the grass. But they can push it on the grass no problem (which is what they did for most of last summer). So it might be fun for them even if its not a smooth ride.

Our Cozy Coupe has always been in the backyard, no concrete anywhere. Usually the kids sit in it, then get out and push it, etc. It served my son who got it on his first birthday for 5 years, and right now the girls fight over it, so even with the gravel, I imagine it would still be a hit.

My girls use them on the sidewalk but I think they could push them on the grass too. They love the cozy coupes!

We took our Radio Flyer Sports coupes (which the boys can generally drive better than the Cozy Coupes) to my mom's house. They have both tarred gravel streets and loose gravel alley ways. The boys could push the cars on the tarred streets though it was a bit rough going. They had better luck where cars had driven enough to really pack it down and smooth it out. The plain gravel alleyways were almost impossible for them to get them started on. They kept getting stuck on loose rocks and the boys just didn't have enough oomph to get them started by themselves which they got really frustrated with pretty fast.

I think it probably also depends on the type of gravel you have. We have a more pea graveled area near our park where the boys get the cars stuck because they sink down into it kinda like sand. The gravel at my mom's house was nothing like that. It was very hard packed and pretty unforgiving. We had a couple of wipe outs when the cars did actually budge when they really pushed on them and then weren't prepared to start moving with them where one fell on his knees on the rocks. OUCH!!

Good luck whatever you decide! Our boys really love their cars.
