COVEY TWINS ARE HERE!

On November 16th I went into labor. I had been out running errands and shopping all day. I walked in the house and by the time I walked in the kitchen I was in labor. I wasn't completely sure at the time, I was just having a difficult time breathing. So I asked the daddy to drop me off at the hospital on his way to work and I would get a non stress test. I walked to L and D. I didn't want a wheel chair...I was being stubborn. I paused to look at all the babies in the nursery and then got hooked up to the monitors. My contractions were on top of each other without any breaks(didn't hurt though) and they gave me fluids to see if labor would stop. By the second bag of fluids my contractions slowed to every 3 to 6 minutes but were getting stronger. I was dilated to 5. I called daddy and said it's baby time. We waited for him to get to the hospital and they started the c-section. The epidural DID NOT work. So they gave me general anesthesia and knocked me out. I woke up to find out I was a MOMMY!!!!!!!!!

BOTH BABIES WERE HEALTHY AND BORN AT 36 WEEKS AND 5 DAYS...NO NICU TIME AND NO OXYGEN NEEDED.
WE WENT HOME 3 DAYS LATER. BOTH BABIES ARE BREASTFEEDING. I HAD TO SUPPLEMENT FORMULA TILL MY MILK CAME IN BECAUSE THE BABIES HAD LOW BLOOD SUGAR. THEY ARE SOOOOOO PERFECT.i FEEL GREAT AFTER THE C-SECTION. I SHOOK LIKE CRAZY BUT ONLY ITCHED A TINY BIT AND I ONLY HAD A MINOR HEADACHE FOR PART OF THE TIME AT THE HOSPITAL. I WAS NAUSEATED BUT NOT UNTIL THE DAY AFTER I HAD THE BABIES. I HONESTLY FELT GREAT AFTER HAVING THEM.

I AM SO BLESSED. THE BABIES DADDY IS A HUGE HELP. HE HELPS FEED AND DIAPER THEM AND IS AMAZING WITH THEM. I AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE HIS SUPPORT. GOD GAVE ME THE BEST MAN EVER TO HAVE BABIES WITH.

WHAT I DIDN'T REALIZE ABOUT PREEMIES IS THAT THE PREEMIE CLOTHES ARE HUGE AND PREEMIE DIAPERS ARE TOO. THEY HICCUP CONSTANTLY..BUT I ALSO DIDN'T REALIZE HOW ALERT THEY ARE, THEY RESPOND TO THEIR NAMES AND THEY SMILE LIKE CRAZY.

MARCUS AT TWO DAYS TRIED TO ROLL OVER ON THE CHANGING TABLE. I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT. HE ALSO SNUGGLES HIS SISTER. I PUT THEM IN THE BASSINET AND HE WILL SCOOT OVER TILL HE IS NUZZLING HER.
