Someone please help me :) My twins were born on Oct.2. So I have been counting every 4 weeks as a month (like you do in pregnancy). Doing that, they will be 6 months old this Tuesday. But I when I got out the calendar and counted out the rest of the year, they will be "12 months" on Sept 2, but their 1st birthday is not until Oct 2. Am I doing something wrong? Have I fried all my brain cells already???!!!!

Most months have more than 28 days. Four weeks is 28 days. This is why I always told my dr I needed 13 pill packs in a year, not 12, because a year is 52 weeks, not 48. ;)

My kids are ten wekks old today, but technically they are just over 2 months old and ten days.... I see what you mean, but like pp said, most months have more than 28 days!

I just went by date. My girls were born Jan. 27, 2007. On Feb 27, they were a month old. March 27, two months old. I never really counted the days. I know Technically when they were 3 mos. old - they were probably 3 mos. and 2 days etc. But I never really went by that. Too much work for this new Mommy.

I went by weeks until about 3 months old and then switched over to using the date for each month... just because I found it easier to say 3 1/2 months as opposed to 14 weeks. :)

In the beginning i said they are so many weeks and it alwasy changed on Monday becuase they were born on a Monday. Once they were 3 months old i said months and that changed on the 23rd because they were born on the 23rd. make sense?

Me too, and it was easy since my girls were born on the 1st.

Same as PPs. I count the months based on the date they were born. They were born October 23rd, so they will be 5 months on March 23rd. My ped. and also the Lilypie tickers in everyone's signatures do it this way also. MUCH easier to keep track of :) !

Jennifer, my twins were born October 2 as well!
We stopped counting weeks at about 8 weeks (Maybe I was too tired to count that high?).

Well crap! Now I have to take it back to everyone I told, "Oh, they'll be six months old on Tuesday." So really they're only 5 mo and 1 week. Wow. Okay, thanks for clearing that up guys. that is kinda like when you're pregnant and you have to explain that really your pregnant for 10 months because that's 40 weeks, not 9 months, but really it is 9-----it's all so confusing. :icon_eek:
