Could this be the start of something?

For the past few weeks one dd has shown increased interest in the potty. She doesn't always ask to go to the potty but when she does she usually pee's. It's not always a lot but she seems to understand how to make herself do it. Today we decided to put her on the potty after getting up in the morning, after meals, before and after nap and before bed. She peed all but once. She also still peed in her diaper though. Pooping is usually more miss then hit, she usually will tell me she pooped and then go and lie down so I can change her diaper. So, do you think we're on to something? Should I keep up the schedule and she'll eventually stay dry? Should a put her in pull ups or underwear?

I hope this is really it for her. I'll be thrilled to have at least one out of diapers.

My vote is for underwear. I started pting about 4 weeks ago and decided it was time and the only sign I got that they were ready was one dd wanted her diaper changed after she would pee in it so I put underwear on them one morning and after 2 or 3 days of peeing and pooping in there underwear they figured it out. There doing great now I do put pullups on at night just incase but I dont think they need them they almost always wake up dry. Good luck!!!

 

I'd make a real big deal about and tell her that mommy thinks she can go pee in the potty like a big girl and let that girl wear her...

If you want to get it done fast I would suggested just underwear. I just did a weekend with my boys and the one that was showing signs he was ready was potty trained by day 3. The other one went along for the ride and still has a ways to go. But it sounds like she's ready. Good luck!

 

My girls were right around the same age when they trained, I say go for it! I would ditch the diapers and go right to underwear though so she knows the feeling of being wet. You might have some accidents but based on this day I would guess she's on her way.
