Could this be it?

So I am starting work, and the boys have to go in daycare. In my new building there is a Spanish bilingual Montessori preschool, which is unbelievably good luck. However they only have spots left in their "potty independent" room. So I hung up the phone with the director, told the boys that we're done with pullups and we haven't had an accident since! Could this really be it? I know it's only been a couple of days, but they're going to the potty on their own and are really motivated! Even Miles, who has had issues with pooping on the potty, went and did it all on his own yesterday.

    Signed,
    Cautiously optimistic

Once I stopped putting mine in training pants, they figured it out in a day or two. Not a single accident since!

Awesome!! Sounds like this is it to me!

Can they come teach Liam?? He turns 4 tomorrow, and he's still not fully trained. Mostly trained, he's poop trained, and goes pee at least half the day, but gets distracted daily and has at least 1 accident daily, sometimes up to 5-6 a day! Ugh!

    Wtg boys!

One of mine is completely trained.... The other is driving me crazy! At this point I think it's behavioral.

We never used pull-ups. We went straight to underwears. To them, pullups are just cool diapers.

Personally, I think at this age (almost 3 and up), it's not about if they are ready or not, it's just if they WANT to.

I think u all are doing great. And you are so lucky that the Montessori preachool is so close to your work. It's the best. Our future school is about 20 mins away. :(

I started with mine almost two weeks ago. The first couple days they were doing so good, no accidents. I was so surprised. But now the past few days they have accidents all the time. It's like they don't care anymore. Not sure what's going on. We also went straight to underwear.

Both had one accident apiece today; Miles just after we got home. I suspect he was holding it and didn't quite make it in all the getting the boots off and stuff. Austin while he was playing with his cousins this afternoon, but both did really well! Hopefully this keeps up!

:woo: Jen! My daughter has been PT-ed since 2.5 and at 5 still has the occasional accident because she does not make the bathroom in time. One accident is not so soon after giving up the pull ups is not bad. They are doing great! I hope it keeps up for you!

Mine did awesome the first 2 weeks, then DS started pooping his pants for months... hopefully it sticks for you!

I am happy to report that Miles has had a few completely dry days, and Ozzy is more on the one accident/day schedule, but it's major, major progress from where we were even a month ago! I never thought we'd actually get here!

My crazy boy was dry all day today, too! I may have found his currency....

What was it? My boys currency is licorice, but I don't even think it's the licorice so much as they just decided that it's time.

Electronics! I have apps on our tablet so I let them play about 10 min if he is dry and clean for about 2 hours. It's working pretty well. :)

Oh, good one. Miles probably would have been potty trained a year ago if I would have thought of that.
