Coughing in crib only

Natalie is fine all day...at night she is in her crib hacking away. She usually sleeps though it, although sometimes needs her binky given back by her porr, tired Momma Anyone have experience with this? What gives? I took her to the pedi who listened to her chest & gave her a QUICk once ovwer, said nothing is wrong with her. She goes on Thursday for her one year appt - DH wants me to make sure the pedi figures it out :unknw:

 

My first thoughts...
Is the ceiling fan on? Our ped says it stirs up dust in the air and can make them stuffy or congested. What about her bedding? Maybe there's something in it that she's allergic to?

Those are the only two things I can think of. I hope the doctor finds out what it is!

It sounds like post-nasal drip to me. Allergies maybe?

My kids are pretty good at that ... and my oldest has a friend and he really really mastered it! :lol:

 

I was thinking post-nasal drip also...when mine lay down after being congested, they tend to cough.

 

My first thought was reflux. Post-nasal drip/allergies also sound like reasonable explanations. I hope you get it figured out.

 

Check her ears. My DD had that twice (coughing only while lying down) and both tiems it was an ear infection. My ped said that it was very common to have an ear infection that presents that way. The coughing was the only sign she had, too- no ear pulling or anything else. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your replies. They do sleep with a fan on - I never considered that, I'm going to get just a regular sound machine. I will talk to the pedi about allergy/ear infection possibilites. Poor little Nat!
