    Hi there,

I've read the reviews about the Britax car seats, but with me being a SAHM, we just can't afford two!
My ID girls are 9 mos now and we are ready to switch them into the convertible car seats as they are just
    too heavy to lug around..

I've been doing some research & reading reviews on line on different car seats and came across the
COSCO ALPHA SPORT RUGBY 3 IN 1 CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT.. it runs for $99.00 and has some great reviews
on Babies R Us and Amazon. Does anyone else have this care seat? Do you like it? if not, what are you using??

Can you recommend a car seat that you Love that is Safe and not too Expensive?? I'm looking forward to hearing
what everyone else has so we can decide on which car seat to purchase! Thanks everyone! :D

We have Graco Comfortsports. I think they were like $130 (we got them as shower gifts). They have a lower weight limit than others, but my girls are small so I don't anticipate them growing out of them quickly at all.

I believe they got a B or B+ rating in the Baby Bargains book.

We have the Evenflo Triumphs rated right under the Britax but much cheaper! If you go to babies r us, they have a $20 coupon and ask for the twins discount!

I used and occasionally in a pinch still use the Evenflo Triumph for my daughter who is now 2.5y. I love that you can adjust the straps from either side of the seat. It has been a great seat and will definitely be purchasing another one in the next month or so for the twins.

We have an Evenflo Triumph that was my 3yo's that we use for one of the babies. We really like it, but my 3yo outgrew it so we moved him to a Marathon. I'd recommend the Triumph or the Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe. The FP seat is made by Britax & is on sale b/c they're discontinuing it due to poor sales...it's a great seat that's recommended by lots of car safety techs. It will last your LO's longer than the Evenflo b/c it harnesses to a higher weight & has higher harness slots. Here's a link if you want to check it out. http://www.specialtybaby.com/fiprsavodeco2.html

We have the Cosco Juveniles. They have always worked well for us. My guys have no complaints.

i got the cosco scenera ($40 at walmart!) & have no real complaints. it doesn't have all the bells & whistles, but it is lightweight & since i fly with the twins sometimes, that was important.

Call the company and see if you can get a "twin" deal!!

Most company's offer some kind of discount. I am not sure if this company does, but some ask for a copy of the birth cert.

We have the Alpha Omega Elite. They cost $159.99 at Babies R Us but we purchased them with the $10 coupon and received the twins discount. So far no complaints.

I also got these and think they are great. Also the fabric on the ones we got is easy to wipe clean and they are nice looking too (but I can't find a picture of the exact ones on the web). We got them at BRU, also with a coupon, a sale, and the twins discount. I think I paid just over $100 for them each in the end.

We just ordered the Alpha Omega Elite from Target......free shipping and gift card. DH compared them through eopinions and they came up just as well liked as the Britax.

I ordered the Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe and just received them today! I haven't installed them yet but I am happy with them so far. They look just like a Britax Marathon without the fancy covers and extras. My second choice would have been the Evenflo Truimphs.

    Too add to the confusion....

we have just started to look into convertible car seats for our girls and my initial thought was wouldn't you want to get one that converts into a booster?

To me that would make sense and save us from buying 4 booster seats down the road. We looked at the Britax Marathon but I CAN NOT see spending $1000.00 on car seats (we need 4 and they run around $250.00 each)!!!!

But maybe the plain booster seats aren't so spendy so it's worth it to have a "better" car seat even if it doesn't convert to a booster?

    So confusing!
