Convertible Car Seat for Small Car?

Hi,
Consumer Reports rates the Costco Scenera as the best convertible carseat and the one most likely to fit in a small car with another carseat. But it got really poor reviews. For those of you with small cars (we have a '99 Toyota Camry), which carseats did you use after your babies outgrew the infant seats? Ours are 6 months today and getting too big for the Graco Snugrides we have now. Thanks!

We don't have a small car but we have 4 kids and 3 are 19 months and under so space is at a premium. We have our 19 mo in a radian seat by sunshine kids and just bought 2 more radians for the twins when they outgrow their snugrides. They are very highly rated and great seats! Good luck HTH!

 

I just bought two radians for my boys - haven't received them yet but I have heard so many good things - love that they can fit up in a 5pt harness for so long. (We bought them at baby viva for $350 + free shipping)

 

I have a Camry too and we have two Triumph Advance seats and I really like them. The both fit in the back just fine. But there is not room in the middle for a person to sit. Works for us though! And I love the seats!

We have two Britax Diplomats, and we LOVE them. They are listed on the Britax site as being made for compact vehicles.... I have a Jeep Liberty but it's a fairly narrow, compact SUV. I have enough room to fit the two car seats back there, and I can still sit between the two of them. Amazon has them for $170.
