Contractions

Did the labor contract just come out of nowhere? Or did you notice 20 mins dif 10 mins 5 min... Also when you were really in labor, Did the babies move between contractions..?

 

Well my twins were a total surprise. But with my oldest, yes my contractions just came out of nowhere and hard. I was already 3cm dilated so when they started, they started hard. My water broke first, that was my first indication.

Are you having contractions?

 

I have been having contractions for weeks now.. But they now are 10-12 mins apart...
I didnt go into labor with DD. Water broke and then they had to give me pitocin

 

Just keep track of them, like you are already doing and if they get closer definitely call your OB. I'll check back for an update in the morning, I'm off to bed.

 

Oh my goodness!!! Exciting. Keep us updated. When I was in labor, I really did not know it since my contractions were all over the place!!! But I called L&D and that is when the docs discovered I was ready to roll! Good luck and give us an update if you are around in the morning.

The contractions went away. I think I was really stressed out yesterday because DD was being naughty all day. But they were constant for about 4 hours. I guess I have to wait longer... That isnt too bad...

 

I had contractions off and on for about 3 wks. At 35 wks I started at 4am an d went to L&D at 9pm. They had gone from 10 min to 5 min. Even my doula thought we would have babies. Well, I ended up being induced at 38 wks 3 days. Good luck!!

 

Hey Ashley! Wow, I thought I almost missed you going in!!! I hope that your DD gives you a little more of a break over the next couple days!

With my singleton it was a noticeable graduation in times - every 40 minutes, every 30 minutes, every 20 minutes, every 12 minutes... called my OB when it was every 8 minutes and they said to get ready and head in at every 5 minutes. I don't know how different it is with twins. I keep waiting to lose my mucus plug, it was an indicator for me last time but I probably shouldn't rely solely on that.
