I started to have contractions this afternoon. At first, I wasn't sure what the tightening was but after a couple of hours I realized it.

I've been getting about 3 an hour but there is no pain, no bleeding, my discharge hasn't changed and no cramps or back pain. I think they might be Braxton Hicks but it still makes me nervous. I did have some with my other two single pregnancies but never this early.

I'm only 26 weeks, did anyone happen to experience them at this point?

Sounds like Braxton Hicks or "Practice contractions" As long as you have less than 5 an hour and they aren't painful you should be fine. It's pretty common in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

I am 24 weeks 3 days and I've been getting them for a few weeks.

Just make sure to mention them to your OB or MFM and make sure to keep hydrated as much as possible!

I am 25 weeks and 3 days and I have been feeling the same thing lately also. I described it to my doctor on Tuesday when I went, and he didn't seem too concerned, so I am not either. It feels as if the top of my uterus is tightening, right under my boobs. It happens more if I don't drink enough water or if I am overdoing it with cleaning or lifting stuff. I have the tendency to keep going as I was before I got pregnant, I need to keep reminding myself to take it easy lately. I started noticing it in the past week or so. I hope it's nothing to worry about for all of us.

I agree, sound like BH. If they start happening more often you need to make sure and sit down and rest and drink some water.
I think mine started around then too.

Yep, sounds like plain old Braxton Hicks. Definitely keep an eye out for any lower abdomen or back pms style cramping and of course fluid or bleeding, but having then # of BH an hour that you are describing is to be expected at the stage you are at with a twin pregnancy. You are likely measuring way ahead so your uterus is tricked into thinking that it is getting ready to evict these babies pretty soon when of course that's not the case. As PPs said stay hydrated, take a rest when you notice them coming on more frequently, get lots of rest, and mention them to your OB then next time you are in for an appointment.

Thanks, I feel much better today and have only gotten the BH once this morning.

I was actually cleaning yesterday evening at the time they started so I think it may have been that. I spoke to the doctor last night because I was still having them at midnight and he said to get a lot of rest and drink a lots of water and that's what I've been doing. He told me if I have any bleeding or pain then I need to call in immediately because I may have to go in asap.

I'm so relieved, I started going through all kinds of scenarios in my mind all evening. Not good so I am super relieved. I'm just going to take it easy.
