I think I have had my last trip to the mall for a while. I took my DD and DS to the mall to get a CD my DD and DS wanted. We parked as close to the store entrance as we could and went in to look. At that point they could not find the ones they wanted and asked for alternate purchases. So the store my DD wanted to go to was just across the hall from the store we were in, but on the other side of the store from the entrance we had come in through. We walked around the little store for a while while she decided what she wanted. Then my DS decided he wanted to look in the game store which was by the food court and at the other end of the mall. We all decided we were hungry so we went and looked at the games for a while and then got something to eat. By this time I was really tired. As we were walking out my tummy started to cramp a little and I was really tired, I just wanted to sit down, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it back out to the truck. To make matters worse the stores were closing so we couldn't cut back through the store we came in through and had to walk all the way around the mall. On the ride home I would get these crampy, tightening feelings, that were not terrible but not comfortable either. We dropped my DD off at her grandparents and stopped at Walmart to return a movie and get a few things. I was pretty ok for the short time I was in there, but my stomach felt really tight. I sat down as soon as I got home and drank a lot of water. I would get some crampiness and tightening, but not too bad. Over the last couple of hours I have gotten a lot of crampiness, that has made me catch my breath. It starts just below my belly and will go to my lower back at times. Some have lasted anywhere from 15 to 40 seconds roughly, I haven't officially timed them. Changing position doesn't necessarily help either. I don't know if I just overdid it or if I am having contractions. The babies have been moving so I know they are alright, but I don't know what to do about the crampiness, etc. TIA

You might want to call L&D and ask them. The crampiness going around to your back is what they've told me to watch for. And it's always nice to know for sure. :) Good luck!

I get those in the evening as well. Especially if I have overdone it. I usually drink 3 glasses of water and lay on my side to make them slow down. I asked my OB when to worry? He said 4 an hour, 2 hours in a row. Then I should call in to his office. GL!

That has happened to me too after I feel like I overdo it. I hope it went away.

Thank you, they are better today. My belly is a little sore from all of that tightening but it seems fine now. I just freaked out because I have been so careful not to overdo it, then I did and I paid for it. These babies are not ready to come out yet. Hopefully the bad cramps will stay gone. I have had them occassionally before, but never that many or that long. Today is a better day. Thank you for your encouragement and advice.

Glad everything is ok. Sounds like you really need to start taking it easy. Like you said, they are not ready yet.

Thank you, I usually don't go to the mall. The most walking I do is when we go grocery shopping or to Walmart. I guess the babies are just getting too big for that stuff anymore. Thank you.

Take it easy Jen!!!! I was on bedrest by that point, but if I were you I would limit myself to stores that have the carts you can ride in (most grocery stores, home depot, etc), slightly embaressing, but much safer!!!!

just echoing the others. it's definitely your body saying "whoa! easy girl". I was sort of ignoring it when it was happening to me as long as it let up when I'd lie down (after drinking a biiiiig glass of water) but the other night I ended up w/ some pre-term contractions and in the hospital. listen to your body-- this is no "normal" pregnancy, you've got 2 little ones in there. take it verrrrrry easy.

ok, so they are starting again and I have not done anything today. The most I did was work on dinner and that wasn't even much because DH did most of it, and I took a shower. Other than that I was pretty much on the couch with my feet up and drinking water. Are they just BH or should I start to worry. I have an apt on wed. I am just trying to make it that far without having to call L&D. They are not really regular, but uncomfortable. Help!!!!

I would call L&D just to get some answers that is what you are paying them for. Good Luck. I hope they pass. They suck!!!

This happened to me at times. Lay down flat on your left side and drink water! I mean rest for a LONG
time. Perhaps go to bed real early. Because when I would wake up that next morning it would all go away (for the moment). Limit activity a lot because you are getting closer.... I would think it's just going to get more intense.
That's how my big ol' belly feels :)- I'm a little over 30 weeks.

Like the girls were saying in the other posts- your over doing it. You have twins and your body is like whhhhhooooo.

    Take care!

How far along are you? Sometimes I get a pain on my lower left belly (5 1/2 months pregnant) and it takes my breath away. One of my friends told me to raise my hands in the air and stretch around. ALso, lifting your belly and leaning to the side helps. One of the babies may be getting stuck in an uncomfortable position.
