when you are cramping and are having contractions, is there a 'consistency' that you should look for? like every 10 mins, etc?

I believe the general rule is if you are having more than 5/6 in an hour you should go call your OB. Based on your post from yesterday if you are still feeling cramping/contractions you should go to L&D right away.

well to be honest. i've always been 'irritable' and had contractions. yesterday they were the worse ever and i was assuming it was because of the day i had on saturday. i took it easy yesterday and laid around, drank about 3.5 liters of water and rested.
today i plan on doing nothing, laying horitzontally, and upping the water intake as well.

I had irritable uterus too and was on bed rest for 4 weeks. But when I began having more noticeable contraction I went to L&D. I was in labor and delivered 24 hours later at 35W 2 D. You should at the very least call your OB and go in for a check.
