Just curious if anyone has or remembers having contractions early - I'm 17 weeks. I've been drinking tons of water and eating lots of fruit to stay hydrated, but I still have contractions some days. This is my second pregnancy, so I know what BH contractions feel like - and these actually feel like the real ones. I've been to my Dr. a few times and discussed it with them and they keep checking my cervix and it hasn't changed at all. The nurse said I just may have them on and off throughout my pregnancy! That would really stink!

Anyway, just curious if anyone else has or is experiencing this.

    Thanks,

    Kim

I started having BH's with the twins around 14 weeks. I didn't have the crampy, "real" feeling ones though. I guess it would be too soon to hook you up to the monitors?

Oh Yes. I have had contractions since 14 weeks and have even gone to labor and delivery a few times to be monitored. My cervix hasn't changed so the doc has pretty much said that for me they will probably be par for the course . . .yuck! I've been told this is pretty normal with twins but it is still very annoying!!! Good Luck!

I could've written this last post. I've been in the same situation since about 17 weeks, but they took me out of work at 22 weeks bc my cervix started softeneing. (I'm on my feet all day at work) and they did it more as a precaution than anything, which I was fine with me!!

    Good Luck

I've also had contractions since 17 or 18 weeks. I have been on hospital bedrest for them on mag. sulfate. No cervix changes. Thank God. I have to take Terbutaline pills for them about 4 or 5 times a day. Sometimes it stops them and sometimes it doesn't. I have to go to the hospital when it doesn't stop the contractions.
