Ok so i am 17 wks 2morrow, and since last night i have been having a sharp like pain in my lower right side. It use to hurt like this when i had to go number 2 (sorry if tmi) but it hasnt in a long time. I took a pregnancy safe laxitive drink earlier and eat and apple to see if this pain would go away but it hasnt. Im not sure what it is, and i dont want to worry myself about it. It hurts mainly when i get up and walk around and if i sit a certain way. Anyone have this kind or pain, or know what it is and how to make it go away. I dont think it could be braxton hicks already because im still not that far along. please help!

it could be gas or even ligament pain. It's not a BH - or doesn't sound like one, but you are not too early to start those, I had them at 16 weeks w/ my twins.

Is the pain in your buttucks area down your leg? If so, it sounds like you may have sciatica. I had that and it was very uncomfortable. The only relief I found was to get adjusted by my chiropractor (she specializes in prego ladies). It is apparently caused by how the babies are resting on your sciatica nerve. GL

I was going to suggest round ligament pain like one of the previous posters.

I thought i felt ligament pain b4, i use to get them on both sides and even by my ribs, and then like 2-3 days later i would notice im a little bigger. is it possible to have the pain only on one side?? like maybe the babies are putting more pressue on that side and making it grow more?

**also about the sciatic part, in another post. i get that as well in my tailbone and hipbone, so im pretty sure its not my nerve, unless things constantlt change lol. thanks though**

Very could likely be the babies putting more pressure on one side. But also your babies are only going to have so much extra room in there, personally I'm measuring 4 weeks more. Before, I would feel pain zipping from my ribs to my groin and pain from muscles and ligaments stretching in my sides and back muscles. I'm not sure when it dissapated, I've been having a lot less growing pains. I'm sure they are going to pick up again as I get bigger when the babies start putting on more weight. But as of right now, I have sciatic pain since 18 weeks (it affects my lower back and hips, radiates down the front and back of both legs and wraps around to my lower abdomen - not once have I had a contraction or BH with it, and I get complete relief after walking for 10-15 minutes for the majority of the week. And more recently, I popped something up front which I'm truly having a feeling was a ligament attaching to the pubic bone as I have a lot of crotch pain since then. It was fine before, deal-able, but now I have to take getting up, standing, and walking slowly until it's easier to deal with.

What's amazing is how your ligaments are all connected to even affect your tailbone and hipbone. Your pelvis is like an open ring with ligaments attaching, and it attaches the pubic bone up in front which is meant to open up more and stretch for the baby. But it's very common to have pain with regards these ligaments, and if it's those specific ligaments you will feel a lot of crotch pain. I did some research recently at this site: http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpa...ymphysis%20Pain

ignore the plus-size-pregnancy in the front of the link, this has nothing to do with being plus-sized and it affects a lot of pregnant women. If it's other ligaments, regardless - you should definitely see a chiropractor that has experience with prenatal chiropractic and ligaments. Sometimes a pediatric chiropractor will work with you, but not after the babies are born. Honestly, that website talked a lot about that stuff too. I found it very informative...
