My girls got invited to a friend's communion party. I have no idea what to give get their friend or how much to spend. She is in my girls girls scout troop. Was in Sydney's class last year, Dani's class this year.
    Thanks.

That's hard when you are not used to the particulars of the sacrament. Typical gifts are cross necklaces or earring, a cross(for the wall), a bible, a medal (like a St. Christopher medal). If you aren't comfortable picking out something like that, a lot of people will give money as a gift. Things Remembered has a lot of things you can have personalized.

My mom is getting my daughter a cross necklace. I am at a loss if I should be getting them something as well. :( Guess I should go into a religious store and see what they got. No help here.

Usually of you are not close family the best gift you can give is money. That's how it works with us. The close family (usually the god parents or grandparents) give some sort of a gift such as a necklace, bracelet, earrings etc symbolizing the communion. Otherwise people just give money

Where we live, close family and godparents tend to give a religious gift like a cross, a bible or hymnal or book on the saints, or something special like a necklace or ear studs for girls, or maybe a first fountain pen for boys.

A typical gift from friends are books or bookstore gift cards as well as craft supplies for girls. It would be unusual to give money or toys.
