    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have pictures of the outfits your babies wore home? I'm on bed rest so I can't go out looking for outfits. I want to give my mom some ideas of what I'm looking for so she can keep her eyes open. I've looked online for preemie outfits, but a lot of what I'm finding don't seem all that special.

There are a couple of outfits I found that I really like, but they have pants with feet and don't have the snaps on the legs for easy changes. Do you think that matters for a coming home outfit?

    Thanks for your input.

I don't think it matters much. My girls were in their outfits for just a couple of hours. We had short sleeved shirts (onesie style) with matching pants. Once we got them home, we put them in sleepers.

This is the best picture of them in their outfits. Although you can't totally see the outfit, you can get the idea.

    Beth,

This doesn't really answer your question, but we didn't bother with coming home outfits. The girls were so little and it was just us (my husband and I), so we brought them home in the hospital kimono tshirts and diapers. I agree with the PP that it's fine to have an outfit without leg snaps because they'll only be in them for a few hours at most so you can take pictures. For everyday wear, we found kimono shirts to be the best thing - no putting a shirt over a squirming baby's head. They were also swaddled most of the first few weeks so they didn't need pants either.

    Good luck!

This is what we put them in right when we got home. I dont have the pics up on my computer of them coming home (two differnt digital cameras make it hard to keep track of pics!LOL) They just wore cute sleepers anyway but they were NB size instead of preemie so we changed them right when we got home!!

Mine were born early and in the NICU so I had time to go shopping after they were born for outfits. I just bought them matching Carters sleepers in the preemie size...nothing fancy. I will try and upload a picture-never done that before.

it was cooler out when we brought ours home... I just slipped them in these adorable easter sleepers...kind of like a bunting only much thinner, with a little hood that had bunny ears.... one was pink for my girl the other blue for my boy... Easter was early that year!! I really don't think it matters much what you bring them home in...can't even remember what we brought dd1 home in. So long as it's appropriate for the weather!

I found these precious little outfits for my grandsons' going home day. They were little gowns with matching hats and mittens. They were preemie size and fit perfectly - for all of about 5 days, lol! But they looked so cute when DD got them dressed at the hospital ....

Mine came home in the preemie sleepers they were wearing all along in the NICU, no special homecoming outfit. But Walmart does carry some cute preemie stuff, and inexpensive.

Same for us. We didn't even know the girls were coming home until 4pm that day (we were home by 8 pm), so I didn't plan on anything special. When I was pregnant I ordered two cute outfits from gap.com (I spent a lot of time online shopping while on bedrest for 10 weeks), but those were newborn size and it took the girls about 6 weeks to fit into them. I vote for something cotton and comfy.

We had gotten some preemie size dresses at Wal-Mart...they had little sweaters and were really soft, but we just used those for taking pictures at the hospital. When it was time to take them home, we put them in sleepers.

Here they are in the dresses, although you can't see them very good: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j206/ran...ma/IMG_2790.jpg

I'm always disappointed in what's available for newborns as far as colors. They all seem soooo light colored and pastel. I got looking online while still expecting and came across some outfits that I really liked, but most of them are just a bit expensive, especially when they don't wear them for very long.

We got a few things on sale at Gymboree...they have a "preemie" size up to 7 lbs. Sometimes they're a bit pricey but sometimes they have good sales.

Zutano clothing was another one online that I just loved, but it IS pricey. Here's some of their stuff.

    Good luck!

We got these as a gift, they are from Gymboree and were preemie size, but still HUGE! Although mine were in the NICU we all went home together, so no time to shop...but these worked fine.

I miss my LITTLE BITTY babies! :(

It's picture #17...i can't figure out how to make it go straight to that image...sorry.
