Which stroller do you guys recommend. We have the duoglider and it is such a beast. I was at the store today and a lady with Twins said she bought the maclaren techno, but I have heard good things about the combi Saavy too. So I don't know which one I want. Thanks for your input.

I have a combi twin savvy and my twin sister has a MacClaren for her kids. Here are my observations:

    - The MacClaren is heavier than the combi, although some prefer this b/c it seems sturdier. I've never had a problem with the combi though
    - The MacClaren doesn't stand on it's own when folded, the combi does
    - There are no belly bars/tray/snack cups on the MacClaren, the combi has belly bars/cupholders for the kids
    - The MacClaren has to be pushed with 2 hands (it has 3 handles) vs. the combi's one bar type handle that can be pushed 1 handed
    - storage is about the same
    - I think the combi folds up more compactly

I love my combi, but I think the MacClaren is nice too. You just need to figure out which features are most important to you. They're both good strollers.

I had a Combi that I bought second hand. My biggest problem with it was the locks on the front wheels. I'm not sure if the McLaren has these as well, but here's the issue..... my kid's feet could reach the front locks and would lock the wheels while I was pushing. It didn't prevent us from going forward, but prevented turning, which was frustrating.

I have the Combi! I LOVE IT! I suggest that you try and go see the strollers. Even if you are buying it online cheaper, or whatever, seeing it and actually looking at it will help you decide. I love that the Combi trifolds for easy storage in the back of the minivan. It takes up way less space. My kiddos love it too! We took them into BabiesRus and tried them in it before we even bought it! HTH Good luck in deciding.

You have to try both! I am a Mac fan. I used my Mac Twin Traveller for 3.5 years - took it everywhere and absolutely adored it. I prefer the sturdiness of it (the Combi is a bit 'looser' in the steering, I liked the substantial smooth feel of the Mac). I also loaded both of my older boys in double strollers for test runs when I was pregnant with the twins. I liked the Mac a LOT more than any other double strollers I tested when it was loaded down with 80+ lbs.!

So, you just have to try them both out and see which feel you prefer!

    i love the combi....

    here are my negatives...

my biggiest negative and only important one in my opinion:-the seats don't straighten all the way up...when the girls want to get snacks out of their cup holders where i keep them, they have to pull themselves up by the front bar...they also would choke a little sometimes when they were younger when i would feed them in the stroller because they weren't sitting all the way up.

    -storage space is very limited...

    -parent cup holder is lame

-hard to hang bags from bar...s hooks (which i bought separately) break, and packages slide down the side making it hard to get stroller through doorways, and bags tend to drag on the floor

-no feeding tray that i see a lot of the single strollers have, but i don't know if any double strollers have that!

-not much shade offered with hoods

    positives:

    -very light weight
-easy to fold up and lift into trunk
-the cup holders are a lifesavor to put snacks in
    -easy to maneuver

my list of negatives may be longer, but the positives are more important to me...I really do love my Combi but don't know anything about the Mac to compare it too other than i hear it's less likely to break because of the metal it's made with....but i prefer plastic which means light weight!

one additional comment....a pp mentioned the one bar vs. 3 handles, and i never thought about that...i was drinking a coffee today and maneuvering the stroller with one hand in the mall (with the phone hanging off my ear i might add!), and can't imagine how i would drink it while walking if i needed both hands to push the stroller!
