Oh my goodness what do I do?? Every night around 6:30 all he** breaks loose around here my sweet good natured baby turns into the most unhappy little guy on earth. So far I have to hold him close and rock him or walk him until he finally falls asleep. This is heartbreaking!!!!!!!

Oooh, I remember those days. Mine would start (yes, both of them) around 3 or 4 p.m. and go on until after hubby got home from work (yes, I was lone with them) around 11:30 p.m. - midnight. It was truly heartbreaking, stressful, frustrating and everything else.

Big hugs to you!! Everything you are doing is what worked for my girls.

I used to hate, hate, hate the evenings!!!

Have you tried music (either singing yourself, or CD's, or a mobile, or something else). Does a swing or vibrating bouncer seat help?

If I put him down he flips out even more - if that is possible. I even put him in the car and we rode around a couple of weeks ago - that didn't work. Singing to him does seem to help. Oh no he is awake.......I'll be back

Ok now I am rocking him in his room in the dark with the tv on and the air purifier on with the IPad he is asleep again and thankfully he went right back to sleep and didn't star round 2 - at least I can say that for now!! Some saint gave me this newborn rock and play sleeper bed like thing at my shower and that is the only place he will eventually let me lay him down. I feel bad for him and I feel bad for the rest of my family I have zero patience and while the scream is on I can't do anything for anyone!!

Have you tried putting him in a sling or something? If he likes that at least you can just bounce him around that way and have your hands free. Colic is super frustrating, but I think it is pretty normal for babies to go through a fussy period at about 6 weeks. I know one of my boys was quite miserable around that time and it ended up being a dairy allergy, so I had to cut dairy out of my diet. Watch for other gastro symptoms if he keeps on with the colic for too much longer

Oh I SOOO remember those days. Nathaniel used to scream every night non stop from 7pm-11pm. Once he turned 11 weeks it magically stopped. What I found worked for him was a tight swaddle and a baby magic sac on his belly. I would half swaddle him, but the magic sack in and finish the swaddle. He would fight it for about 5-10 mins then he would give up and go to sleep with a huge sigh. Hope he feel better soon

I love the rock and play sleeper. We've been using them as bassinets for 10 weeks now.

Both of my little ladies go crankmeister at about 7pm and we have to hold them until the 8:30 bottle. Started 2 or 3 weeks ago. We can't get anything done around the house or talk to each other much. Forget the phone. I can't wait fir this to pass!!!

We went through that with our twins, too. Tried everything and nothing would work for more than 10 mins. Then came across "natural womb sounds" on amazon. $0.89 for an hour long MP3. (the sleep sheep sounds didn't work at all) Played the MP3 for the kids and like magic they calmed down and fell asleep... like it was calling them back to the womb or something. They don't need it anymore, but we still play it every evening when we're winding down for bed - that's how well it worked for us. Best 89 cents I ever spent!

yep...colic sucks. mine both had it and i was alone at night DH works nights:( IT.WAS.TORTURE. I see you are a little past 6 weeks which is notorious for being the worst. Hang in there it will improve in a week or 2. Get some help if you can in the evenings. I had to do that for a couple months. My parents came every night to help get my 3 yo DD in bed and for a couple of hours they would stay and help, bounce, rock, walk, the floors, wtc, to try and calm the babies. They wanted to eat ALOT from about 5pm-11pm. A bottle almost every 1-2 hrs, really helped. I know it sounds like too much, but they took it all (3is ounces) and sisnt really spit much up. 6 weeks is also a huge growth spurt:) Hang in there momma!!

Omg I am so sorry. All ican give you are hugggs. I have no advice though. I remember those days. Everyday from 6-9/10, we had to hold them constantly. Around 5-6 months, my husband stayed home with them. He had to drive them around for nap and bed time before he could put them down. It was so bad

My son used to be constipated and became colic. My daughter had horrible reflux until 7.5 months. Also he was suffering with teething from 3 months to 12 months.

Huggssss! Hang in there. You will survive!!!!
