I nurse 50% of the time and pump bottles for my babies the other 50% because that way i know how much I'm making and how much they are getting. Being small I worry about them not getting enough.

We thought my daughter had some gas because she'd cry in the middle of her feedings... we burp frequently and give her the gas drops..but she still fights the feedings. Mostly the bottle, but she also fights the breast. (She doesn't spit up very often). But the last week it's gotten worse. When feeding her a bottle she crys every half ounce and we have to force her to eat more through the crying. :( Sitting up after makes her feel better it seems. She'll only take two ounces and refuses anymore.... she screams and crys harder if you attempt it... and it's another hour or two where she'll finally finish the bottle...and we go through the same process of it again. She doesn't really fuss any other time.

Anybody have similar problems with their little one or know what to do? I'm at my wits end!!. She really is a terrible nurser...nursing only 5 minutes and then wants to eat again in an hour!

Oh, and we've tried 5 different types of bottles!

I would talk to your pedi, it sounds like it could be reflux.

Can she possibly have a dairy allergy, one of my babies was extremely fussy, and screaming all the time, I eliminated dairy from my diet and have seen a big improvement in her behavior

Totally sounds like reflux. My daughter had this. I eliminated so many things from my diet (since she was breastfed) but we still ended up giving her previsid (sp) for reflux.

Yep, sounds like reflux to me too. They don't necessarily have to be spitting up all the time for it to be reflux. Hope you are able to find the right meds that will work for her. You may still have to cut out certain things from your diet as well.

I have this issue with one twin. They both get formula and breastmilk. I alternate the feedings.

Keep bugging the Pedi since sometimes even eliminating things from your diet don't work.
I've been trying all I can and seems not to work.

    Good luck!
