Colds and taking your babies out...

My babies woke up sneezing and coughing today...no temps and happy as can be. I live in California. It's sunny and nice outside today. I am not going out to be around others today, but I do want to take a walk with the babies...a neighbor friend also wants to walk with her babies. All babies will be in their strollers and not playing together and spreading germs...would you take a walk or keep your babies indoors? Are you strict and homeward bound when your twinfants have colds? I'm the type of person who goes out EVERY day with them so sitting at home all day is NO FUN...of course I will always do right by my babies though....I know this will vary parent to parent and am very interested in your response...

As long as their not playing with other people's toys, I would say that taking them for a walk is probably OK. I do always tell the other people we may be seeing ahead of time. That way they can make the decision for themselves about whether they still want to get together.

If they'll be in their stroller and not playing with the other kids, I'd go. Tell your friend that they have colds and let her decide if she still wants to come.
Honestly, the fresh air might help them feel better!

I agree with PP's if they are just going to be in their strollers, then they should be fine. I would also inform your friend about them having colds The nice California weather might do them good :)
I hope they feel better soon!

I would totally take them for a walk with a cold. It's always nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air.

I'd take them outside for a walk, but if its even a little chilly make sure to check on them often. Also, I'd warn the other momma and let her decide if she wants to come along.

I'm exactly the same way and if my boys don't go somewhere in the morning they are really fussy and keep walking to the garage door! I think you are fine to go for a walk. I did the same thing last week when my boys were sick. If someone's kid walked near their stroller I just told the mom that they were sick and they may want to keep their child clear of them.

Hope you have a good walk!

Like everyone else, I say yes too!

The fresh air could help them out... And it gives you a break from soothing cranky babies all day.
